I heard him clip a couple of cars too, lucky not to lose it in the traffic. I bet he doesn't get away with that for long. :?

    And it's fake!

The car was actually a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9, and the sound dubbed on from a Fezza :P

Le Prince Noir, La Peripherique du Paris, 35km in 11m 4s on a GSXR1100 back in 1989. Probably the original internet nutter on a fast bike.

That was the rumour. But there are other rumours that he put that out to try and get the Gendarmes off his back.

Well it is actually. Can't say that I have seen that many bikers but it is quite routine for people to drive at speed on the wrong side of the road. They are typically in black Mercedes and almost invariably have blacked-out windows; some may have flashing blue lights if the owner has bunged a few roubles at somebody in the local police.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Don't forget the Merc G-wagen 2m behind it with the tooled-up fellas on board! I thought the movies showing this were taking the piss, until I saw it for real

I've seen guys doing 100mph in the afternoon down Kreschatik in Kiev, which is the equivalent of Regent Street!

 It amazes me how many lunatic antics in Russia in either 2 or 4 wheels can be found if you do a quick search on youtube. They seem to have quite a few seriously bored, stupid and out of control folks at large.

What a berk. No actual skill on display there, just a willingness to die for no reason - I can't see the point :|

I wonder how many other videos like that haven't made it onto Youtube on account of the rider getting knocked off in the attempt and hurt / killed?

When I visited Moscow, I saw plenty of accidents and also my share of the blacked out limos in the fast lane. Some are still more equal than others.

Reminds me of another lunatic who's managed to gain notoriety for this kind of thing. Posted before, no doubt but still an eye-opener:

Not only for Moscow, there are plenty of brainless idiots on 2 and 4 wheels in other post-soviet countries too.

And when you talk to them, they don't think they done something wrong driving 150+km/h in a city. In their view other drivers must watch out, not them slow down.

    Re: Crazy biker in Moscow

what's struck me on that is that ridiculously fast filtering no cars really even really look like they're going to change lanes.

i'm always looking for gaps that a car could suddenly decide to fill in the lane next to it and am ready to roll off and brake in anticipation.

horrible video - hasn't done my blood pressure any good at all

What a moron. What he does in that video take almost no skill and solely relies on a lack of self preservation and concern for the welfare of others.

While I appreciate this isn't motorised, this is what I call skill on a bike (stick with it, it gets better towards the end):-

My thoughts exactly. I ride 15kms each way every day in Paris traffic and I'm pretty much filtering for the entire journey. Plenty of heartstopping moments at the modest speeds I do and I think I held my breath for most of that video!

Yeah but also shows one of my pet hates, the lack of respect people have for things.
Okay its only a rail and some concrete that he's riding on but that isn the point, likewise skateboarders who do similar things, just another form of vandalism in my opinion.
