    Clebar update

Got new pictures from the watch repairer tonight so I haven't got it back yet. His pictures come out about as good as mine but there is a difference

    Before:

He replaced the date wheel I showed in another thread (says it's faded but looks pretty good to me), repainted the sub-dial hands and relumed the hands, markers and bezel and cleaned the black mark from the subdial. He also fitted a new crown, not bad.
You can't really tell in any of the pictures but the inner chapter ring is actually a light blue or grey that stands out from the dial. So what do you think?
    After:

That is very nice and has a certain Tudor Heritage vibe to it.

Or vice versa? I *think* the Tudor MC (and perhaps even that little Clebar) came out a wee while before the Heritage!

    I know, sorry. Couldn't resist.

Lovely to see something like that brought back; sub-dials look great (Tissot also had similar dials on their Navigators, if I remember rightly). The "racing" seconds track is also rather good.

Which reminds me - I have a vintage incoming tomorrow!

Oh, don't worry. I will. You'll like this one (I hope). I'd like to think it's pretty unusual. While also fitting nicely into my little "collection". Let's hope I'm right.

I'm pleased so far, I can't wait to get it back, it really is a looker. I think what made my day the most was the removal of the black mark from the subdial. I thought it was wear from the hand and would always be there, I'm feeling pretty lucky.

I'll try and get some better shots with my wife's Nikon, it really does have an great visual presence, and thanks for all the kudo's :)
