Thread: Any amateur repairers out there?

    Any amateur repairers out there?

I have a cheapy seiko 5 SNK809 day/date auto but the day and date mechs have screwed up. It keeps good time but it really annoys me that the day and date are always wrong. Local jewellers want £40-odd quid to send it off for repair - it didn't cost much more than half that.
Is there anyone here that could fix it for me if I pop it in a jiffy? A few beer tokens if anyone's interested.

The jewellers take no prisoners when it comes to watch repairs.
Some of them dont even do repairs in house.
They are passed on to a repair agent.
