Really cool and both are beautiful watches! Congrats and wear them in good health!
These two have arrived within a week of each other. First up was the new Magnate GMT, the watch has a T25 dial, this means, the total amount of tritium within this watch will not exceed 25 millicuries of tritium. Ball has changed from the standard green lume, to a cool blue with this one.
The other watch is the latest Aviator, which has the new white date wheel (the old one was red, for some reason) this is fitted with a T100, this is the maximum tritium allowed in a watch these days, you can see that the markers are much larger on this watch, making it appear to have a stronger glow, but it's really just the extra H3 at work.
I'm sorry if your not a lume fan but I love it, and felt it was worth showing. The lume is helped in these photos using my UV lamp, but there are no other effects added to these pics.
Feel free to have your say on the watches, or lume, good or bad comments are welcome.
Really cool and both are beautiful watches! Congrats and wear them in good health!
As a self-confessed "LUME JUNKIE" i :salute: you sir for some fine lume shots!!
Seriously though, stunning watches and lume, many congrats!
Hope to have at least one luminous Ball myself one day!!
I used to have one of those Aviators, the new date window is an improvement, the old one was a touch hard to read. Nice watches!

I really don't know a thing about about tritium, can you explain that a bit? And is there a difference between the H3 vials different brands use?Originally Posted by captainhowdy
Very nice!!! I have a Ball Trainmaster Cleveland Express that I wear as a "dress" watch and I am amazed by the lume. Ball makes some very cool watches. Wear yours in good health!!!
Nice shots, Captain, and some very nice lume.
I've come to the conclusion that Ball watches are like a few women of my acquaintance. They look better in the dark.

Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
These are both lovely watches, and the lume is something else!
A great pair to own, hope you enjoy them.

Great photos !
Really like the look of that new Magnate. The newer Ball models using blue and yellow lume are very nice.

I nearly choked on my sandwich, reading the title of your thread
But I must admit, some brilliant pics of your Balls :)
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
I'm not sure about the watches but that has to be a contender for 'thread title of the year'

Sweet Captain, both look REAL nice but i particularly like the Aviator. It's a handsome piece and no mistake. It looks so bright, if you put it on your night stand, you'll wake up with a tan! 8)
Those look great. I'm looking to buy a UV light too for charging my lume watches.
Any recommendations guys?
both look incredible but that aviator is really a lovely looking thing in any light
Cracking pair of balls.
Fantastic, I think I might invest, especially with my 30% discount at Ernest Jones!
