Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Cute? Perhaps if you have flash. :x

Looks good, nice that you can choose more or less whatever dial colour you want too :)

Smug, the watch sets itself to the time on your computer.

Nice site and the watch is really cool too.

They have now added a page to the site where you can order up to two bespoke images of the watch with the RAL dial colours and hand / date wheel combinations of your choice.
I have ordered a couple which ought to be fairly interesting / offensive depending on taste :D.
If they come in a format that can be stored on Photobucket I may post them here when they arrive...
I have a question. As one who lives in the US, rather than the EU, would I (assuming i chose to purchase one of these watches) be required to pay the "taxes"? Can a refund of VAT be had by foreign nationals?
Theoretically, when goods are exported from the EU, you should get the VAT back. Don't know, though, how direct merchants handle this.Originally Posted by Michael in Frisco, Texas

I think it's the same as sales tax between two US states - if the merchandise is shipped to another country, there is no VAT on the vendor's invoice to begin with.Originally Posted by Michael in Frisco, Texas
At least, that's how it is with all the foreign country invoices that I sign off at the office. Don't know why it would be different if the customer is a private person.
Eddie might know - he ships watches to countries outside the UK.

Here is Stowa policy : Transportservice worldwide and here is Eddie's: Taxes and Duties. The last paragraph to Stowa's policy was added recently :wink:Originally Posted by Crusader
Here are the bespoke drawings I ordered.
What do you reckon?
If you live outside EU you "should" get item from EU by VAT 0 % price what means no VAT at all. Then you "should" pay taxes and VAT according your home country regulations.Originally Posted by Michael in Frisco, Texas
If you live inside EU and you have VAT register number (meaning you are not private client) you "should" get watch by VAT 0 % what means no VAT and then you "should" pay no taxes but VAT according your home country regulations. Usually inside EU VAT is between 15 and 23 %.
Often this is very complicate (read byrocratic) and mostly sellers prefer to sell just by one price including VAT. The problem is or can be that they must proove that item really went outside from EU or to another VAT-registered company in EU.

Personally, I'd go for the purple. It would work well with both blue, brown, grey garments...or indeed wet suits :wink:Originally Posted by Fullbreakfast
