Hi Faide, looks great! I like the use of the domed acrylic, gives it a very vintage feel.
I'm curious, why did you choose the Sandoz for the conversion over the WCT model that Bill offers as his standard Sub look-alike?
Paul
Hi guys, got my Sandoz Sub /YAO conversion last thursday :D
Since Eddie doesnt like pics wider than 500pixels, here is the link to the main post on the pmwf.com forum.

Ive been waiting for this and the DN for some time now and it was the Sandoz that arrived soon. Hopefully my DN will arrive shortly, then i'll have to decide which one to wear!!! :?

Faide, this sub is great. I'll propably go for a yao very soon, too. But I wouldn't expect it to be a competitor to the dreadnought. You will agree when you get your hands on yours :D

the Sandoz comes with 2824-2 movement . . .
Sandoz watches are an undervalued area for watch collectors. I think their Sub series are worth value for $ spent.
I can't stand the crown guards on the WCT diver. There is far too much space between the crown and the crown guards with the WCT. It really gets on my nerves when i see pics of it.
Also the Sandoz comes with drilled lugs which give it more of a rolex feel.
To top it off the original crystal is Sapphire (the WCT uses mineral) so if i get fed up with the acrylic crystal i can always go back to the sapphire crystal.
Bill Yao's work is first class. I highly recommend his dials. He is coming out with more cool stuff for his seiko line.
I may have to buy one of his Seikos one day.
Im sure i will be wearing the DN a lot when i get it. I just dont know if i will wear it to work due to its size and "presence"

how much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking.
It cost less than $350 including the Bond Nato strap and all shipping charges plus a spare acrylic crystal.
For me its worth it to have a watch which i believe (at the moment) is one of a kind. Even if more are made its unlikely that i will come across one.

Both very nice, Amer. Congratulations!

The only thing is that the original bracelet is pretty crappy so i have to buy an aftermarket oyster bracelet with screw links which will set me back another $75 or so.

I think I can do with out the bracelet. I have one for my O&W, and it's rather light weight. Just not the quality I'm used to from my Omega, and now my DN. NATOs work fine for me. :D
