Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Well its now in bits ! ;-)
Good luck!
It's just a matter of time...
First Job, painting in those bezel numbers.....
Done.
bezel filled in the matte black..... done.
That's what Breitlings should look like - none of that blingy shiny polished nonsense. :)
maseman
That is looking so good I can feel my mind changing.................
I do hope you are going to do the full DLC treatment!

+2 That looks great, was the bezel fill an easy job..... images of very steady hand and a fine felt tip pen come to mind :)Originally Posted by markosgr28
Leave the bezel numbers alone Murph! I let that be done to a Seiko Monster and never liked it after. They're painted in for a reason. :)
I had to re paint them in, as you can see in the first pic at the top when I got it, all the paint had gone.
Eight bezel screws removed
Bezel levered off, a difficult job with these older ones, as there is a very firm retainer spring within the actual bezel.
Click spring/plate removed (much better idea than the Rolex click spring IMPO)
Humbrol enamel MATT BLACK 33 A0360 applied with a dripping brush, to get a good deep fill.
Leave to dry 6 hours.
Excess black paint removed with Garryflex block.
I have pics of this on my blackberry, but they are shite quality :-(
Next job......
Bought a used polished Pro2 bracelet that was going to a friend of mine. He let me down :-(
So..... I've fully brushed that, left all the screw headss polished, which looks quite good ;-)
Ordered a set of 131a endlinks to fit the bracelet to the SOPRO . Should be landing soon :-)
There was a bit of debate whether or not these would fit.
After some legwork (me.... finding a TZ member with a 2004 SO, which use these new Pro2 endlinks as a direct replacement)
Endlinks arrived at AD. (Insert excited face) with me tomorrow.
I'm wondering if the case/lugs in my GMT LE are the same as this and if I could fit a better bracelet?
It's just a matter of time...
SuperOcean LE GMT with blue dial or Colt GMT ?
Super O one of the best Breitlings great dial
Well Mr Postman has been with the endlinks, so time to fit the new bracelet tonight. 8)
SO LE GMT Blue dial - I have it on rubber as the links on the original bracelet still look as cheap as the day they were new :)Originally Posted by MuRph77

Then .... YES... a brand new Pro 2 with 131a endlinks will fit straight on.
Mine's a 2001 watch, so there may have been an issue with the lug geometry. The cases are ever so slightly different.
Thanks Murph - I may have to consider getting the parts - I love the watch so it may deserve a bit of a treat - but Breitling price for new are a little high - aren't they all!

Well.... After fitting the Pro2, I don't think it looks right, so its back onthe Pro1 as intended. Its up in the SC in 2 x mins :-(
