This is it prior to a spa treatment.

Once done, it has a nice amount of attractive shine on the bracelet an WG bezel, and is a really nice piece. The case shape is extraordinarily comfortable, and the whole thing is very light. All this makes its 36mm wear small (I think).

Prior to that she had only worn ladies watches, mostly an Oris ladies Big Crown I had found her a couple of years before.
She was impressed when she opened the package with the DJ in, but a litle daunted by the size, as even her dive watch wasn't that big.

However, about 8 people at work noticed (and commented on) the watch on her first day wearing it, and it has been welded to her wrist ever since (except when I am polishing out the inevitable scratches from the plexi). She loves it.

So I guess that I would add that going for a vintage one makes sense, especially on jubilee, as everything is significantly more refined (and possibly feminine??) than more recent models.

That is a lovely watch and just what I am after but I really like the ones with roman numerals and I love the blue dials that Rolexes have. I think from what everyone has said that the DJ will not be too big for my wrists and won't look out of place.

    Thanks

My wife is 5' 2". Fortunately, she doesn't borrow my watches but instead has her own. None of them are ladies models.

Her Rolex is what we always used to call mid-sized, a 34 mm DJ. My DJ is the old standard 36mm from the 60s. When we were in India, and I was watch-buying in the Titan shop, she decided that she liked the one I'd chosen, but instead of threatening to steal/borrow it, we bought one for her too.

You decide on the size you want. It doesn't matter that you are not alone in wanting a larger size than many women wear.

    Good luck with the search.

Speaking from experience and I am a woman 2 inches shorter than you, the larger DJ will look right on your wrist thanks to your height.
That's an interesting viewpoint. I'm 6'2" and I still think a Date looks better on my wrist than a DateJust. But I only have a 7" wrist.

My wife is over 5'10" and looks great in a 24mm 176200. Go with whatever feels right.

I have a friend who is 5'10 and she always steals my Seiko 007 apparently because she likes the rubber strap!
And Elle seems to like her Daytona!
