    Opening a watch

    Is there a special tool I need to open a watch up or anything you'd recommend to do it? I need to regulate my SB3 as its a little fast at the moment.

    The back of the watch does it screw on and would I need to twist anti-clockwise to get it off?

    If screw on back, then a back opener, adjustable clamp. Also you will need a case holder if the back is on tight.

    If pressed on back then case back opener. Blunt knife. Then a press to push fit the back.
    If you havent done this before, dont attempt this.

    ish

    The SB3 is screw on, but I'd try with a ball of tape first with the sticky side outwards. It's very easy to mark case backs with tools.

    got to be a first time!
    try a massive lump of bluetack on the back whilst holding the case in your other hand and unscrewing - worked for me - mark with tippex a point where the back meets the case before you open it and this enables you to know how far to tighten it when replacing it

    Type "watch tools" into the Amazon search bar.

    You need a steady hand, and;
    1x Case back opener
    1x very small flat blade screwdriver (from a good quality set)
    And a magnifer lens of some sort.

    One mark + or - tends to move the timing by 6 seconds on most of the ETA movements.
    There was a link to ETA regulation on here somewhere.
    Good luck.
