Now this has arrived so I'm wearing two. Can't say that I'm overwhelmed by the camera on the iPad 2.

Lovely old Seventies thing, just arrived from Omegary, who has all the watches I wish I had. Well, one less now.

    Happy Friday, everyone.

This one has to be the best lumed watch I own. Industrial amounts of superluminova! Thanks to Redd for this one.

Oh dear, here we go... it's a watch celebrating an engineering achievement, the first jet fighter. Not a great was machine at the time, you pushed the throttle to hard the engines would blow up.... too fast to take a conventional fighter down. At the end of the war, the Me262 had a kill record of 1 bomber and that was because the pilot lost control of the plane and crashed against it

LOVE this watch! To me it's one of the coolest ww2 style pilot watches

Speedmaster Green (Golf) ALL week this week. It needs to go to the menders to have a spot of broken off lume blown off the underside of the crystal but I am so pleased with it that I don't want to send it off yet.

This is my second one and this one is staying :)

It wasn't the first jet fighter though, unless you change the goalposts and talk about operational.

This arrived as a box of parts this morning and now, as if by magic, it's on my wrist :)

My cat, Thora, has given it a lick of approval, mainly as she's getting a lot of fuss in the garden

    SM300 -- and a Question?

This just back from Omega service. They replaced the original baton-style hands with SL sword hands. Not only did it lose it nice "early" look, but there's a total lume mismatch between the hands and the "T SWISS MADE T" dial. When will I ever learn????

Swatch has agreed to install a replacement SL dial, which will match the new hands. My plan is to have IWW restore, re-lume and re-install the original dial and hands. Any thoughts on whether or not this is a good idea?
