Not if we're lucky we wont

I particuarly like the details such as the offset springbar holes in the lugs creating the wonky springbar effect.

Awesome... but where are the other two watches in the sale. Surely it's standard practice now to only sell a PP alongside a Harry Winston and an AP?

It's just a matter of time...

I wonder what the buyer will think when 2 of the 4 timezone dials are useless because they have symmetric "hands".

I am not expert enough to think it fake or real. Are you?
If fake, fiddy cents would be ok, not 50 Euros.

Now, we do not know if the thing has 4 batteries and if it does not, it is a straight money back
If it does, how likely do you think it is that those are powering 4 minúte chinese movements?
If a one off with four independant movements then

Patek still handcrafts quartz movements. One offs too.
I do not know it is fake or real. Do know it míght be real.
It ís something Patek might do just for the heck of it. Art pour l´art.

About those 2 ´hands´; it is not about four functional time zones. If it were, it would be bigger and LCD.

What are the chances that the most tight assed watch company in the world would do a "mickey mouse" watch with rotating logos?

And to quote another current thread:
"The applied numerals and/or markers are made of gold and mechanically secured to guarantee maximum longevity. The hands are crafted from gold."

There are no total bargains to be had on ebay anymore. Too many collectors subscribing to "patek philippe" getting an email with all new items every day. The only bargains to be had are the imaginative ones, "too good to be true".

    Thanks for the feedback :bounce:

VERY good to read to that the matter was solved :!:
A positive piece of evidence about ebay/paypal.

    Bottom line is that;
    - there áre handcrafted PP quartzes,
    - íf it would have been authentic the buyer would have had a bargain and
    - he has not paid for taking the risc.

    Very informative thread.

Well, I'm not sure he did not take a risk. I've heard about cases when paypal will not repay you. And honestly since this was a so obvious fake I wouldn't go through all the troubbles of complaining to paypal voluntarily.

This is what Frank Muller has to say about Patek quartz:
    http://revo-online.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116

Can you elaborate on how they create the perception of being in-house?

It is something of a paradox and it is for this reason I said that you have to pay attention to the dreams expressed by high Swiss watchmaking. Patek Philippe for example would have you believe that they are a predominately mechanical brand but they are one of the largest producers of quartz movements (for their ladies watches) in Switzerland. Further this isn’t even an in-house quartz movement they buy it from the Swatch Group and modify it.

As apposed to FM using ETA movements, kettle ..... black?
Couldn't read first few paragraphs, as they are not very clear as the text is in gay pink, bit like the overpriced watches.
FM should merge with RM, maybe they'll implode and stop polluting the world of horology with their awful wears.

    Of course that's just IMO
