What are the chances that the most tight assed watch company in the world would do a "mickey mouse" watch with rotating logos?

There are no total bargains to be had on ebay anymore. Too many collectors subscribing to "patek philippe" getting an email with all new items every day. The only bargains to be had are the imaginative ones, "too good to be true".

Well, I'm not sure he did not take a risk. I've heard about cases when paypal will not repay you. And honestly since this was a so obvious fake I wouldn't go through all the troubbles of complaining to paypal voluntarily.

Patek Philippe for example would have you believe that they are a predominately mechanical brand but they are one of the largest producers of quartz movements (for their ladies watches) in Switzerland. Further this isn’t even an in-house quartz movement they buy it from the Swatch Group and modify it.
