“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Correct time, correct date, on a wrist, not a library or brochure shot. But sideways, oh well :-)
Do my eyes deceive me or have you got another one in the background? Beautiful watchesOriginally Posted by bagel

"I forget who it was that recommended men for their soul's good to do each day two things they disliked ... it is a precept that I have followed scrupulously; for every day I have got up and I have gone to bed."
Hi all,
One of my favourites for its robustness, water-resistance and anyplace, anytime readability:
And I won't mention its comfortable, vanilla-smelling strap...
Enjoy your days off,
Marc
3000m WR - I don't think I will need that but a brilliant looking watch and reasonable weight as it is Ti.
My newest, most favourite watch - the PRS-14 on TF rally.

The original Roamer micro quartz was the first affordable quartz watch, according to Doensen's history of the modern wristwatch, with an electromagnetic movement that predates the MegaQuartz and OysterQuartz. The micro quartz was introduced in 1972. These days, they command a pretty high price, when they can be found.Originally Posted by chrisbo28
This one, although it may well have the same case as the earlier models, has an ESA movement. Roamer's movement factory closed in around 1975, apparently, after which they used bought-in movements. Roamer continued to call their quartz watches 'micro quartz', inadvertently causing potential confusion for future collectors seeking the highly desirable originals.
There's some interesting information on the WUS Vintage and HEQ forums (although the micro quartz is not HEQ). In fact, some of what I've written above comes from what I read there yesterday.
Enjoying a lolly in the garden :)
