Have you noticed the smooth seconds hand?
´Sweep´ used to be indicating a central second hands as oppose to one in a subdial.
When accutron had disappeared form the collective memory of watch buyers, the analugue quartz watch was ticking away second sized steps.
The mechanical jitterbug was suddenly marketed as a selling point, as ´sweeping´ as in smooth...
That is how urban myth is born.

A great loss that they went under with their thermic experiment. At least they are not the umpteenth Swiss badge engineered product and the precisionist is another cool piece of technology. With the Seiko 8F and the ETA autoquartzes gone, it is a rare example of the non high end high accurace quartz. Again a neat reference for myths.
