Lovely looking watch and I'm starting to wish I'd bought it.
I've purchased the base watch, but can't find the mod dial for it anywhere :(
I bought this recently here:

and thought I would show some shots and let those who were following the thread see it in it's new home.

Strangely enough it seems that SWMBO had secretly ordered me something similar from Harold NG direct for my birthday and that will be arriving soon. So this one might be moved on, it will depend exactly what turns up after she placed the order as she seems to be a little unsure.
I m not going to do a review in full as I am still getting to know the watch, however I wll say that it is very solid in feel and is comfortable. The bezel, gold sword hands and the modded dial all seem to contribute to a very luxurious feel to the watch. So thanks to the seller and to Eddie without the latter I would never have heard of this watch and without the former I would still be looking. At least until the next one turns up from Hong Kong.

Me neither, I've got the white faced one.Originally Posted by Redd

There's three lists on WUS - two are closed now, leaving just the blue dial to go.
I'm beginning to think about seeing what's involved in organising a small run of dials myself - I've no specific watch making experience, but have 20+ years experience of designing and taking all manner of stuff to production - what could possibly go wrong :)
I'm really pleased with it.
My Mrs ordered one from Harold with no problem around the 20th of September. That said she does seem a little confused about what she ordered when it comes to spec's, but she sent a phot to Harold and he took her money and packed it off to her. I only found out when I showed her my new gift to myself and had a few hours of grief as a result. It will be here middle of next week at the latest (customs permitting) so I will be putting that up when it arrives.

One of the best Seiko mods I have seen.

Which Seiko model is it based on ?
It's based on the Seiko SNZH series, which you can get for around £110 plus customs fees I think - I got mine in Singapore.
I've read there are three sources for the dials -
yobokies (harold), who hasn't got any, but he he does sell the complete modded watch, check out the SCTF, think it's about $249
WUS had three lists going for different dial colour options, 2 of the lists are closed and last time I looked the blue dial list was still open
and a third option, that I don't know anything about
Thanx for the answer!Originally Posted by Stevoc
Maybe the third option is to wait for the PRECISTA PRS-50-B (if its production will go on) ?
....and the fourth to buy the original ( )
What exactly is the buying process for yobokies?

I had first refusal on this from billy. I had to let it go as an MOT gave a few surprises!
shame really as i was looking forward to wearing it.
do youself a favour and check out a brady sailcloth strap, black with gold stitching. It would really set off this watch beautifully.

that's the only mod that i really like ;)
Great seiko
who test yobokies ?

It would make it look more inline with the blanc pain that the mod is based upon.Originally Posted by den77

At the risk of sounding stupid (again!) what happens to the day-date part of the movement?
Can it just continue to turn unseen, or does it need to be modified?

tried 1 and 2 and can't find a 3rd option to get hold of one. I'll give it a little longer, but if no dials turn up may just sell on the watch, unmodded - bummer.Originally Posted by Stevoc

Thanks...makes sense, but somehow seems a little strange.Originally Posted by stoneyloon

Black and Gold :) Very nice.
ish
The FF SWMBO ordered turned up today and it is gorgeous and has a date window, which for me is a plus. I'm trying to decide which is the nicer and which will go. At the moment they are both going to be staying while I try to make a decision.Originally Posted by den77
