An absolute beauty.
I just had to have this when i saw it an IWC Big Ingenieur i love IWC'S and this has always been on the wish list so being in a position to go for it i am really delighted with everything about it, dressy or casual it is a real presence and it is so comfortable.
An absolute beauty.
Lovely watch. You can't beat the display back on the IWC 8 day based watches. The Port 5001 is fantastic. The Ing is much sportier on the whole.
 ..Simply incredible :drunken: ...
I love the design, movement and general engineering that has gone in that watch! Well done...
very nice excellent choice
that is one classy looking watch Norman :D
thought you'd given this watch disease up
That's a great addition!
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Lovely.
I love Ingenieurs: fantastic build quality, super comfortable, lovely detailing in the dial & hands and great AR which turns the dial blue and the hands / appliques white when the light catches it just so. It also has one of the best bracelets I've ever worn and even though it has a large slab of wrist presence, it's also subtle enough to slip under the radar when required, which I like. Enjoy it.

One of my dream watches at the moment. I don't have the funds to purchase this version of the Ingenieur, but I'm looking at the other ones. Very beautiful, durable, and manly.
Beautiful watch and imho looks as good with a croco strap :D
8 days of reserve is impressing.
Congratulations. It's a solid lump, the Big Inge, and very comfortable IIRC (I tried one at an AD a few years ago). I'm still ambivalent about the display back on a tool watch (especially an Inge) but the overall look and 8 day movement would win me over.
IWC are always top, top quality but this particular example is an absolute beauty of a watch - wear it with pride and enjoy :)
Good for you, a very desirable watch.
Probably my favourite incarnation of the modern Ingies. I can even live with the class back :)
Congratulations
Gray
Really like the Ingenieur's and hope that one day I might be able to add one to the collection. The proportions seem to work so well on the Big. Congratulations, really great watch.
I love that watch. I have two IWC and think that they are probably my favourite brand. I love that case back. Congrats on getting a great watch.
Wow that's stunning, would love to get one in the future
love the display back. Beautiful!
That's a beautiful watch. Congratulations. The red on the power reserve really makes the dial pop. 8) 8)
A real handsome watch and the bracelet look a work of art.
Lurvely, congrats. I used to have one of these, they're special things and you are very unlikely to see another one. It needs that display back IMO as the movement is a thing of beauty.
Here's mine:
Stunning Norman. An excellent choice.
Thanks guys i'm really chuffed with this one. :salute:
Beautiful! I'm a bit torn about the sapphire back - on the one hand the movement is incredible, on the other it loses it's ingenieur antimag. On balance, I think it's best to see the movement!
Nice - it has a stark teutonic prescence.
I have always liked the range. The PR does not make this look worse than the others in the range - quite the contrary.
Congratulations!
that's just beautiful 8)
Do love the Ingenieurs. Didn't fully appreciate the quality until I bought one myself. Don't agree with IWC's decision to have non antimagnetic Ingenieurs (Would Rolex ever produce a non antimag Milgauss?) but can't deny the pleasure in seeing that beautiful movement
Congratulations, she's a beauty.
IWC. Can't miss.
impressive watch ...and what a movement - would love a Port auto 7 day ....but now about £8,500 so keep dreaming
Very nice, congrats from me as well :!:
Hi,
Very nice!
Do you have another wrist shot ? The watch is big, it would be nice to see it on your wrist
Thanks
Johann
Congrats - thats really nice. :)
As much as i like the display back i think it should still have a solid caseback as an Inge - that's my only gripe. Can i ask what size of wrist you have? Also are you planning on keeping it on the bracelet or maybe switching to or adding a gator strap - it looks good on that too 8)
Very nice Norman, that might even be nicer than a Big Pilot.
I think so the BP is huge on me.Originally Posted by captainhowdy

Might do but would need to order one from my AD .
Cracking looking watch Norman, another one on my wish list! :D
