    My first IWC...

I've admired this brand for years but for some reason or another I simply could never put my hand on one of their fine watches :bounce: ...

I finally found a good chance while looking for a nice 16610LV..so hereby I present my first IWC. I am truly impressed with the fit, finish and overall engineering design of this watch :D ...the 16610LV will have to wait  ...

That looks great. I really like the use of yellow on that model, gives it a nice distinctive look.

the yellow has a very attractive look to it, howvere i would have preffered white minute markers and '2000 meters'...but still no big deal..

Thanks :D ! It also feels very well put together...seriously I place it above Breitling, Omega and dare I say Rolex in terms of case finish and attention to detail...

The bracelet is 22m all around and very comfortable (rounded inside and chamfered edges), it does a good job of balancing the HEAVY watch head quite nicely without itself being too thick in profile...

I wish the watch was 42mm in diameter as it is a heavy beast on my 6.5 inch wrist  , but the lug angle make the watch really wearable  ...

    Mine says hello!

Yes, it really fits even small wrists (like mine) due to the lug angle, much better than both predecessors.

One day I hope to add a bracelet, until then I enjoy mine on rubber and velcro!

    Great choice!

Lovely! I'm not so keen on a lot of the newer IWC designs but I do like those. Welcome to the IWC owner's club.

It was hard to let go of the 16610LV for the aquatimer but I sincerely do not regret my decision so far (though I'd still love an LV someday) :) ...thanks for your nice comments...

Great watch. I am on the look out for a nice IWC, seen plenty but just a bit more than I want to spend at the moment, will eventually crack I know.

IIRC list price is EUR 260

Quite pricey but it gives the AT a completely different and toolish look, even the polished parts of the adaptors match the polished parts of the watch IMHO.

Anyway, if you want to swap the bracelet for the velcro, just drop me a PM! :D

    Cheers

Thanks...you may not see from the pictures but the links are 'rounded' from the inside to follow the wrist better and all the edges are smoothly chamfered :D ...

I love IWC watches, I can't think of a bad one, build quality is great and not every Tom, Dick or Harry will be wearing one.
Everyone in the pub will have heard of Rolex. Omega, Breitling but brands like IWC will leave them scratching there heads.
    Great watches.
    Cheers Mick

I concur, people always ask me so what's that watch your wearing and straight after that they ask me is it expensive or how much was that....which annoys me greatly!
