Awesome work mate. They all look brilliant, and very well made :thumbleft:
Very very nice work-some are very unique-look great!
Just need a Panerai to place an order 8)
Here's one that went on a Laco Squad:
I love your work! Very inspiring! I just bought some leather to make my second strap.
And since you are my new watch strap guru, I have two questions for you.
1: What is it called when you thread with two needles at the same time? I really need to google the technique.
2: How do you make the edges so smooth? Do you use shoe cream or something on the edges?

I think what you're looking for is called "saddle-stitching".
As for the edges, there are many different ways to finish them. Lots of people use a ready-made product like Edge-Kote that will color and finish the raw leather.
Practice, practice, practice.
Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Sweet! Thanks for the info! :thumbright:
Here's one that went home to Texas last week:
Awesome! Very nice work. Specially like the little cross detail in some of them.
Some recent work:
Great looking straps. How long have you been making them ? Are you self taught and how does one go about getting into this hobby ?
Cheers.
Love them straps.
Edit - just look through the pix, love the stitch less straps, Scott. Are you able to give me any details on them (ie. what's available and the damage :) )
Thank you Sir
Very nice and very inspiring.
Best I've seen 8) love it :thumbright:Originally Posted by timesofplenty

Ever used leather from a basketball? -Or do you think it's too thin?
I never have, but I've thought about it.Originally Posted by yonsson

That's a relic! :) From 2010 I think. I'm not using any new leather right now, only vintage.Originally Posted by Yorkshiremadmick

That is nice, I need to start making some straps again soon, just need a watch that will suit the rustic nature of what I am able to produce first!!
Here's another that I finished recently:
