Had a pair that lasted 10 years on the same sole, great shoes if they're looked after.
Secretsales have some of these heavily discounted, not ever paid more that £70 for a pair of shoes but really fancy a well made long lasting pair.
Has anyone had any experience of Patrick Cox shoes and can they tell me whether they are worth the money at RRP of £300 - £350 or even at the discounted level of £120 - £150?
Thanks in advance.
Jacob

I'm surprised actually, TK Maxx sell these a lot cheaper!
Ive recently invested in some Barker's, truly stunning quality and not too expensive.
I paid £180 online.
Thanks Chaps.
Didn't pull the plug on the Patrick Cox shoes although I did fancy a pair in eel skin!
I may have a nosy at TK Maxx and see what they have but likely they will not have my size in a style I fancy.
Ebay sellers have some fabulous quality shoes at discounted prices so I may try there to.

This - or for the original budget, Church's are also a fantastic investment.Originally Posted by miniman1983
I'm not sure PC's retail for quite as much as £350+... and if they do I would never pay that for a pair of them
they do, i ended up buying a pair for my wedding shoes, the only ones i could get in the colour and style i liked, i ended up paying €350 for them.Originally Posted by NickB
A vote for Loakes here as well as Church. Loakes now have a trendy collection called "the collection" ..ahem.
I'll add Grensons into the mix, my first pair of (for me) expensive shoes and i highly recommned them
I'll throw Trickers and O'Keeffe into the pot.
Not cheap but top quality.
Good lord! Spoilt for choice.
I'll have to investigate these brands particularly as I have never heard of the latter two.
Theres Patricks and Theres Patricks! The ones to have as in the nicer classic styles dont end up in Tacky Max! I had a lovely pair but pissed in them in my younger days and the smell never went away plus it stained the leather but they were superb in every way prior to my drunken stupperOriginally Posted by GMTMaster

Crockett and Jones. That is all.
Best,

Big fan of Church's.
You can get them in Bicester Village outlet for £250.
Practically free.
If you like low boots - ankle height - then RM Williams are worth a look - mine lasted for years.
R M Williams and Church's - seconded. Those are my "good" shoes.
Cheers,
I must say i have only had the one pair of PC shoes and they looked and felt great.
I bought a pair of Patrick Cox Wannabe loafers in 1998 and they are still going strong. They were like slippers when I first bought them - the uppers are thick and supple. I don't know what PC is like now though as I normally wear Crockett & Jones' shoes or Oliver Sweeney.
I buy all mine from here

Churches are great shoes, my wife bought me a pair for my Birthday.
The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned are Fratelli Rossetti Flexas. Much lighter than Church's and need no wearing in. They are really great shoes and you can buy them in Bond Street, London. They do a very nice Italian brogue too.
