Excellent pics.
Where will the Certina be going?
Since I am about to somewhat break up my small Plongeur collection (the Seastar is sold pending funds) I thought I would try to get them all in one pic.
Not the best of pic's but here you go anyway :) .

Sorry if I was a bit unclear.

They remind me of when the contestants for the World's strongest man line up. They are to ordinary watches what the WSM contestants are to normal sized blokes!

Very nice collection of heavy metal
The DN is a real show-stopper also in this line up. A classic :D
Nice watches, nice pics.
I have the exact same Seastar and like it a lot.
I never wore it before I had the plongeur hands fitted.
The Tissot Seastar seems to have new hands
No plonguer
I'm pretty sure that those are aftermarket hands, not the originals. I think a good few people have had the mod done due to dissatisfaction with the stock hands.Originally Posted by Sam Spade

Dave, that is putting it mildly
I did not like the look of the original Seastar hands at all.
If the BMW design has the moniker "Chris Bangle on crack" then the Seastar hands could have been designed by dr. Timothy Leary on a bad LSD trip.
I have Yao plongeur hands on mine and am pretty sure that S.L's Seastar also has Yao hands fitted.
Indeed, the hands on the Seastar are the Yao/MKII version (which unfortunately are a bit too red IMO).
Both the Seastar and the DN has left me since that photo was taken  .
And the DS-3 has been even more customised with a plongeur dial :) .
That J.E does not do it for me I'm afraid, would probably prefer to customise a MarcelloC than go for that one.

That is a magnificent collection of desireable watches!!
There's not one there that I wouldn't be proud to own!!
Which brands use plonguer hands in their actual collection? I found just Jaques Etoile. But Seiko, Citizen, Tissot etc. doesn't use this hands now. :(
Eddie's PRS-11 uses them, it's a sort of mini-Dreadnought.Originally Posted by Sam Spade
Kronos (Ray of Rayla fame) use them and the upcoming Ocean7 uses the PloProf hands also.
Where I can find more informations about Kronos and Ocean 7?Originally Posted by Nalu
The custom watches by Bill Yao [www.mkiiwatches.com] often offer Plongeur hands with or without the classic Plongeur dial.
