OK, i've just registered our work team on the 'Movemeber' web site.
Whilst trying to recruit our 'Posse', it became apparent to me that this is still an overlooked annual occurence so, in a nutshell, to raise awareness of Male health issues, particularly testicular and prostate cancer, some of us grown moustaches throughout the month of Novemeber (MOvember, get it?). It also raises funds for research so people are able to donate, either through the website or individual members and teams 'Mospace' pages. This is ours:

I was sporting a Clarke Gable-esque pencil-tache that time last year. Loads of folks were saying "cool, is that for Movember?". I'd never heard about it the thing then:lol: .

Here you go, clean shaven last night, with son in spider outfit for Halloween. This is my marker for the start of the month, Might try a progress pic in a couple of weeks - we'll see how we get on!
Is there any form of moustache etiquette? Such as if you see another chap in the street sporting a 'tash do you give a knowing nod to them?

Tried it last year - i can grow a great beard but my 'tache is a pathetic blonde bum fluff affair.....
....which is quite embarrassing when you are 36.
I looked like a sexual predator and it wasn't a good look. My mrs didnt come near me for weeks.

I started growing a beard this month, but it's nothing to do with Movember. I've just fancied going for the 'Lord of the Rings - Knights of old' type of look. I just need to get past the scruffy hobo stage, to the stage where I look like a ye olde knight or viking warrior etc.... :lol:

I know it officially finished on WEdnesday but i've grown rather attached to my 'tasche. Anyway, end of the month pic's and in a dirty old rock star stylee!

Yeah, the sidies were for the cancelled Motorhead concert; they'll be trimmed down later. The tips of the 'tasche are 'titanium' and i think i'll keep it for a while, see how things develop!
A great tasche there well done.
