Yay, nice site!
Well done Jason, best of luck with it :D
Not sure whether this has been discussed already but here is Jason's (964RS) new site:
http://sweepinghand.co.uk/
Have a look at his Facebook page too - competition for Rolex goodies!
Hope it goes well Jason.

Yay, nice site!
Well done Jason, best of luck with it :D
Yep a nice site with a few tasty pieces for sale - love the Tudors 8)
Though it does have my personal bugbear of "price on application", I know that means I can't afford it but it would be nice to know by how much I can't afford it
I agree. Cracking looking site with some lovely pieces on it, but if Jason is looking for some feedback i too hate these "price on application" sales. Just a personal view and I'm in no way telling him how to run his site of course :DOriginally Posted by Mr Stoat
Great looking site. 8)
Nice site
Best of luck with it
Just had a quick look. It seems a very well designed and presented site.
regards,
Nick
Site looks good.
A little know fact: It was supposed to be named "Outstretched Hands" at first, but for some reason, the current name was chosen instead
Looks good - best of luck Jason!
My only somehow 'negative' comment would be the default slideshow presentation of the pics - I'd prefer to see static pics and be given the slideshow option extra.
Really nice!
Nice site!
Thanks for the heads up and comments everyone!
All feedback good, bad or indifferent much appreciated :)
I built the site from scratch myself so it was a big learning curve but generally I'm happy with it so far :)
I can't stand 'price on application' so it's quite ironic (I've already had some stick from the guys on one of the car forums who know my feelings on POA!! ). But it's for a specific reason and hopefully will go over time :)
If you want to go into this months prize draw for some rolex goodies then simply 'LIKE' the Facebook page here:

Or mail me through the contact page and I'll add you to it :)
Been with 200 screaming kids all morning at Aladdin...off to find the paracetamols!!!
Nice site nice watches. Is this what happens when your need to trade and grow your collection becomes too much for SC?
Very nice site and watches :) Hate POA, no case diameter :(
Great site, Jason. Good luck with it. :thumbright:
I'm afraid I'm in the hate POA camp too.
Looks great!!
Really impressed with the site, congratulations. For me the best thing about it is that as well as being a business you've captured your passion and enthusiasm very well indeed. Best of luck!
The webmaster needs to figure out the size of the photos, do the first few in this album look a little stretched, or has my coffee just kicked in?

Really lovely site!
No you are right! This was the first page I did with pics and it resized them automtaically to fit...making them a bit stretched like you say. I know how to do them all so they are all correct now so will go back and change the ones on this - thanks :thumbright:Originally Posted by sssimon

Good stock of watches there.
Another hate vote against P.O.A here. Too elitist.
Very nice sir and I hope it goes well for.
Always nice to see a true passion develope. I hope for your own health you are able to strike a good balance between business and passion and doesn't become to stressful
Nice cars btw 8)
Is that better?Originally Posted by sssimon

(i've probably got a few others to do )
Great site but as other have said POA is a real put off, good luck
Can't find the Facebook page. Doing a search on pages but it's not coming up. Am I doing something wrong ?

Great site, theres more than one or two on there i'd like, better win the lottery first though.
I've always thought that p.o.a means, if you've got to ask you cant afford it.
Fantastic watches and a great looking website. I won't mention the P.O.A. issue (...), but there's one other thing, I would like to mention: please put the price of the watch in the title next to the first picture. Now, I have to open a new page, and when you -like me- are using a MacBookPro, you have to scroll down until you can see the price of the watch. Every extra action (open a new page, scroll down) is design flaw. People interested in this sort of watches want to know two things: the type of the watch and the price. All other info is secundary.
Must say that the pics of the watches are real gems!
Good luck with your site and business. (And I'll send you an email re. a certain watch).
Menno
Nice site, great design and easy to use. Like the scroll pics buttons and colour scheme is a real ++. Wont mention the 'you know what'...
Thanks everyone for the compliments and feedback - very kind.Originally Posted by thieuster
You have a good point on the prices and I had thought that would look better on the front page also - I just need to sort out the POA issue first
For anyone who has not guessed why there are so many POA's at present, it is because most of the watches on the site are my personal collection, some that took years to find.....and I'm really having to coax myself in to persuading myself to sell them....and it's not very easy I assure you!
But it may have to be done. I do have some more watches coming in that will be easier as they were not bought as grails like most of these (!) and some are duplicates of what I own.
It is still early days though and i've had to add everything for various reasons (SEO etc etc) and I already know of some of the POA that are gone :(
I've got a few ideas I want to give a try though and hopefully the site as a 'shop window' will make them easier - especially in trying to actually buy pieces - it is so hard to find decent vintage pieces these days that dealers don't all snaffle first.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained....and we all have to start somewhere I guess :)

Good luck Jason -
Thanks Neil
Looks a good site, I will be back later.
Nice site, new to me.
Thats a great looking sight in your avatar :POriginally Posted by TT300
Like the site, and some great pieces there - good luck with it! I agree with POA, many dealers in my trade (art) use POA and it really does put people off. On a note about personal collections being offered, I know it's really hard but you need to de-attach yourself from peices you're selling without obviously losing enthusiasm for them as this rubs off on the customer. I have to do this with some of my art/furniture as I am also a collector and know how hard it is to part with things you would like to keep! All the best :)
Great site!
I know the POA is a put off but in my business (used cars) we use "due in" quite a lot!!
Very nice site indeed, good luck.
There's a car dealer who advertises in Octane Magazine and he sells some really rare race cars. The price on some of his stock is marked as "£expensive". Which I quite like actually :)Originally Posted by bassboy
Jason, I agree with one of the earlier posts in that prices would be best shown on the main page with the watch summary, to save clicking through to another page to find it. That said, making people click through to the second page may entice them in a little more
The site looks great though generally.
All the best Jason - you know your stuff and have a keen eye, the rest will come.
God's speed :)
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Good looking site, best of luck with your venture.
The site has a quality feel about it which is needed for higher end stuff like this, it looks good.
Good luck.
Thanks for comments and support :)
A member asked for an 'All Watches' section in the for sale section so you now have one

Your designing it now!
Thanks Richie_101
Great site. Best of luck with it!
