Trillian - best IM app out there
A plug for my friends App – Momento.
If you haven't yet got this, it's the best journal/diary app for the iPhone.
It pulls in any data you've posted in popular social network sites back populating your diary as well as linking in with the top photo sharing sites such as Flickr and Instagram.
It's been featured on countless blogs, won a few awards, received praise from Stephen Fry and has been the prestigious iTunes App of the week both in the UK and US. Starbucks in the US also recently had is as their App of the week and gave 1,000,000 copies away to their customers.
Visit http://www.momentoapp.com/ or search Momento App in the App Store.
Chris.
Ignoring the obvious ones like the bbc, ebay etc etc
Free -
Retro Rev (game)
Shazam (tells you what your listening to)
Photobucket (Very useful for the friday thread!)
iDaft (daft punk sound board)
More toast (completely pointless but quite amusing)
Paid-
Tiny Wings (game)
Scrabble
Trivial Pursuit.
Edit: Sorry a little more than 2 of each!
I'll check that out - looks very nice indeed!Originally Posted by chrisparker

I probably need to just pop into the App Store more to see the new and charting stuff as well as pay more attention to the various app sites and app errrm apps.
The apps I use the most are...
Tapatalk (far better way to access forums such as this than using Safari)
Words with Friends (ridiculously addictive Scrabble-like game - you can have 20 games on a go at a time)
Camera+ (more flexibility and built-in editing than the standard Camera app)
TVCatchup (not an App as such but live TV on your device)
Time-wasting games...
Angry Birds (of course)
Flight Control
Drop7
Slice It!
Fruit Ninja
Peggle
Helsing's Fire
Doodle Jump.
Amazing. :D
Free : Bloomberg, F1 App ( no live races here, I "watch" the timings on the app )
Paid : Sky Safari Pro ( only if you are an astronomer ), Notebooks
My kids would say : Fifa Soccer, Bounce On, and Monopoly instead of the above ...
Interesting, is there a dedicated Google Calendar app? How are you consuming/viewing your Google calendar on your phone?Originally Posted by WingTsun
I've synced mine to the default calendar app but would also like to see my partner's Google Calendar too. I really liked a 'timeline' view as I set up on my previous phone, my schedule was one colour, my partner's another colour, public holidays another colour, etc. A little something like this:
Is it possible to have something similar set up on the iPhone?
You can add your partner's Google account as another account, or if their calendars are shared with you, they will appear in the iOS calendar anyway.
Thanks for the reply.Originally Posted by Phil Lee
So for the first method you describe, I'd need to know her Gmail password to set it up?
For the second method, which I'd expect to work, isn't quite working. Her calendar is shared with my account [I could see it when we both had Android phones] but on the iPhone it simply shows my schedule.
Finally, no 'monthly timeline' appear as per the screenshot above? I'm guessing it will probably have to be a separate app as I've not seen anything similar in the standard offering.
You have to visit m.google.com/sync in Safari on the iPhone, login then select which calendars are synced to your phone.
..aha! Brilliant, thanks very much for the tip!!Originally Posted by Phil Lee
