Looks like a nice watch to me, nice pic and in B&W as well :D
Bought this from SC a few days ago and so far so good. It is a fairly hefty watch and is taking some getting used to but it appears to be VGVFM
Don't know much about Kemmner so if anyone has some details please feel free to share.
A quick pic for those that like them

very nice
I love the Octopus, it's a serious lump of watch. If the one in SC had the orange minute hand I would have snapped it up.
I like dealing with Kemmner. Sometimes, it seems, that he is a little too busy for his own good, as communication is not always ...seamless.
He makes some nice and affordable watches. I find his Tonneau watches especailly fetching.
Or, in my case, non-existent even when I wrote to him in German.Originally Posted by WatchScout

Velour?
Ahrrr! Straighten that bezel. (minor OCD Attack)
Really like Kemmner. Build quality is fantastic for the Price.

Good lume?
Hefty piece!
Easy to read, big lump, generic case, ETA 2824, feeling a bit adventurous? :D
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Kemmner makes many of Eddies watches. I believe that is his main occupation, manufacturing small runs of watches for other brands which he also sells under his own brand too (Octopus was sold by another brand with their own branding, forget their name though). I think Kemmner can do cases as good as anyone, certainly to rival Fricker (for whom I believe he used to work), but his marketing is non-existent, and the use of very basic movements doesn't help the prestige.Originally Posted by Scottishtrunkmonkey

Wearing my Turtle right now.
Similar size as the Octopus, but not so thick.
Bit like the difference between an SD and a DSSD :)
Congratulations, looks fab.
Ian.
Never seen one in the flesh, but looks like a bit of a beasty
Kemmner sent 50 cases to Wilson Watch Works and them made 50 Octopussy.
And the came Deep Blue with theres 2000 diver.
Hans
The Kemmner Turtle is an a smaller alternative.
I have a turtle blue blue matte.

Roland Kemner is great. I have been buying his watches for years (in fact, watches and watch components to build my own watches). Currently tempted by his Tourbillon...
I sort of regret selling mine......Originally Posted by ronnie3585
I was very close to getting the one for sale on the site a couple of weeks ago
I got the deep blue 2000 instead.
What is the connection between the two?
I have an Octopus as well - excellent watch! Can't get away with the rubber strap mind, but have considered forking out for the Sinn ruber and deployment.... Nice and hefty for certain :-)
Definitely, watch is perfect on the Sinn rubber.Originally Posted by bigmul
Have you any experience of it on the Sinn? Worth the £95 outlay? I have to say I struggle with nearly £100 for a rubber strap! lolOriginally Posted by fornowagain
I have the Orange hand version. :)Originally Posted by ronnie3585
ish
I have it on my Octopus, worth every penny imo. Soft and very comfortable, fits perfectly. I have the smaller butterfly clasp, again top quality.Originally Posted by bigmul
Order it unbranded, no Sinn logo on the rubber. It's not that expensive compared to some other brands, and it does include a tegimented clasp.
Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not sure what the butterfly clasp looks like, only seen the deployment clasp. Did you order directly from Sinn or somewhere like chronomaster?Originally Posted by fornowagain
This one, and yes direct from Sinn. Raphael Brück is the German contact r-brueck@sinn.de
That is one good looking sinn you got there :) Aboute the kemmer, what is price for one? Thanks
OK, I'll be honest, I hate that case, can't look at it anymore  :D

Ah - I thought the topic might be referring to one of these http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2009/11...uve-final.html
I like the Sinn rubber but think I prefer the deployment to the butterfly. Is that a stock pic or your rubber? Just asking as the strap looks branded?
Thanks
