Been a few years since I've been on the forum. Thought I'd stop in and say hello. How's everyone doing?
I got out of watches a few years back, when I got rid of my collection and had a single watch. I know. The horror! But it was a Rolex GMT2C, which ended up funding a lot of training for a career change this Fall. The Rolex was replaced by my 4th 2254.50 SMP (not including the SM GMT I had at the same time as one of the SMPs), and that has recently gone to fun a bit more. The SMP has now been replaced by a Kemmner Bond Sub with the 8mm crown. Instead of the red logo on the dial, this one was custom ordered with a white logo (which I prefer). Been wearing it a couple of weeks, but the day I bought it I also ordered an OWC 5517 with a Soprod A-10 (which I'm waiting to receive). Then last week, I ended up trading my digital camera with a friend for a nice 36mm Daniel JeanRichard with a polished case, silver dial, rose gold Arabic markers and hands, with a blued small seconds at 6, and a blued date pointer. Lovely little watch, I thought my wife would kill me over. Instead, she put it on her wrist and said "Thanks. You can't wear three watches at once." So, I can't promise I'll be around a lot. Certainly not like in the old days with Ming and Steve and Paul (when we crashed the server a couple of times posting so frequently), but I'll check in.
