I am all for full lume, but must say the hands on the lume SINN put me off. In this case, I prefer the "classic" black dial and hands.

With the all lume dials, it is not at all neccesary for the hand to be blacked out in order for them to be seen. Ordinary hands work just fine against the lume. Maybe I prefer them just because Im used to the hands not being black like on some full lume dials.
the black,the white I don't like,I had a 656 but it was just too small and I didn't like the AR coating on the outside,it smudged easy and had a blue tint to it,I've heard they are discontinuing the 656,I bet it's replacement will be worth getting.

What's the deal with lume dialled versions of watches having weedy hands? Is it just that they lack the layers of lume paint? Damasko's a demon for it too - compare the hands of the DC67 to the DC66. Ugh.

I haven't got a white faced watch so thought I would give one a go to see if it works.
What ever works for you. It is your money/watch.
Personally, I would go for the full lume PRS-20.

I'd vote black for the Sinn, but some full lume dials look good & don't have 'weedy' hands

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Oddly enough I went the other way after looking at both the 656L and the DA37 in the steel - though it was a close call. I think it was the day feature that put me off the DA37.
I'll get round to pics one day - hopefully over the weekend.

Sinn has recently launched the model 556A which looks identical to the 656 except it has transparent back and no soft iron inner case.
Also launched model 856, which is replacement for 656 but in slightly larger case at 40mm. Check them out here:

PS - just to be different I voted white dial.

Black for sure, although the Damasko looks nice with the full lume weirdly, just doesnt seem to look right on the sinn.
The SINN full-lume dial in the OP looks more shiny that other full-lume dials, that I have seen.
The 656 in black, please. That Damasko in white looks great though....
