Welcome!! from a fellow newb!
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, although have been interested in watches for a few years. Thought I'd sign up here since I'm in the UK (near Edinburgh).
My budget does not stretch to the high end stuff that many of you are lucky enough to have... but I have my 40th birthday in 2014 so am hoping I can get my hands on something more substantial for that.
My current small collection is as follows:-
Hamilton Khaki GMT Air Race
Tag Heuer Kirium Chronometer (mid-size, with mercedes style hands).
Ball Engineer Master II - Diver GMT
Seiko Black Monster
Seiko Baby Monster (white faced Sports 5).
(Also a couple of cheap quartz watches (TW Steel) and digital things for sports).
My first 'decent' watch was a black (with pink accents) Tag F1 back when I was 17yrs old, which I later had a Series 2000 steel bracelet added to. I then put it in a drawer & forgot all about it for about 10yrs, when I found that the battery had leaked & destroyed the quartz movement. That was the point I decided mechanical was the way forward if I was spending more than pocket-money on a watch.
Cheers, Andy.
