Thread: New Bracelet / Watch Combination (Heuer Content)

New Bracelet / Watch Combination (Heuer Content)

I was so excited to post these photos on another forum, and so far have received two very negative reactions to this bracelet (or, prehaps, this bracelet on this watch). And there are no supporters, so far.

So let's have some views: (a) love this bracelet on this watch, (b) hate the bracelet, on any watch, (c) bracelet is nice (or at least OK), but it looks horrible on this watch, (d) some other reaction. As always, I value your honest opinions on this one!

Here's wishing everyone a great weekend.

    Jeff

Maybe easier if you do a poll.

However, I am not a fan of bracelets, but that does not look too bad!

I thought about that, but I am happier keeping it more free-form. For example, it was good to hear your general perspective on bracelets.

    (c) for me ,although I wouldn't go as far as to call the bracelet horrible at all. But I'm just not warming to it on your photo.
A nice leather strap would be my personal preference.

    regards,
    Nick

    (c) bracelet is nice (or at least OK) and it looks alright on this watch.

I quite like it but the end links don't look a great fit which puts me off it being on that watch.

I will state up front that I'm not a fan of bracelets on watches generally, but I think that there's nothing not to like about this combination. The look of the bracelet matches the surface and bulk (both width and thickness) of the watch head very well, though I hear what kace said about the end links. Clearly it will look different on the wrist than on a photo when a whole length of bracelet lies flat alongside the watch - probably a lot more acceptable to the eye. I think it would look pretty good, actually, so maybe a "wrist shot" (hate the term - sounds like a specialisation from the adult movie world) would look better to the forum police? Perhaps we're all just a bit conditioned to accept a certain type of chunkier bracelet than this, but those are usually with divers / bigger watches.

Looks a little bling. I think it would look better if it was brushed. I have a Bulova that had a bracelet very similar to this but I had to take it off as I wasn't giving it any wrist time due to the shiney bracelet. I put it on a brown leather strap and it looks great.

However, I have seen much worse I don't think it looks all that bad.

The bracelet is ok but in my opinion doesn't really match the watch. I'm not normally a strap person but reckon that'd look good on one.

C for me, I'm afraid. That said, matching watch to bracelet/strap is a pretty personal thing and views do seem to differ quite radically in such matter!

I have a fairly similar bracelent on my Monaco. I am not sure the bracelet really works on your watch IMHO. Have you thought about a caramel toshi or perhaps even rubber?

then again, it could be much worse . . . or to quote dr. suess, in Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?, "muchly more worse"!!

another JB Champion, this time with the full-on bling (before it was called "bling").
