    Help with Seamaster identification

    Hi All,

Recently I bought the omega below on a bit of whim (was very cheap and had no paperwork)

I have since had this serviced and verified as genuine but is anyone able to identify the model as this has a white second hand which doesnt seem too common - and also an estimated value of this:

    Thanks
    Ryan

Looks like the hands and second hand mite of been relumed got that green color that you see some watchmakers use that don't try to make it match.

Good spot... were the hands replaced at service?

If so they might as well have changed the second hand too!

    Good point

They're built to be abused these watches though so it looks fine as it is :)

I think it lost the lume due to age and the hands were relumed and who relumed it did not try to match the color right to the dial.On my Aquastar Benthos 500 I had some water damage were the lume on the hands did not match.I had Jack at IWW do vintage lume so the hands match the dial.It did not cost be that much but now every thing matches. If it bothers you like it did me that mite be the way to go.There should be some good relumers over in England just ask the forum who's the best. But I know some have sent there stuff to Jack in the US from England.

Nothing to add - just a nice earlier 2531. One of my personal favourites.
It's just a matter of time...

Hands werent replaced when serviced - do you think its worth looking into having all the bits relumed?

Its a shame it all isn't the same colour as I really like the faded look :(
