    The Grail has landed!

    hi,

I don’t often post pictures of my new watches, mainly as they’re not as exciting as other. But this time i have something worth showing off.

I’ve always kept an eye out for these just in case one came up at a decent price, its true what they say about good things coming to those who wait and boy did i get a good thing! Introducing my new favourite watch, Seiko Flightmaster Chronograph SNA411.

The picture is from the advert as my photography skill is next to useless.

Thank you to redmonaco for putting the watch up for sale and making the buying process very smooth.

So that’s one of my achievable grails done, now on the lookout for a nice Seiko Diver with as close to a September 1980 build date as possible. Anybody ??

    Thanks for looking :bounce:

Nice. I have always liked the "busy" pilots dials and have been looking for a Heuer auto myself. That looks fantastic, congrats!

Wow, busy dial but somehow not fussy, liking this one.

I'm a big fan of all things Heuer but have never really taken to the Heuer/Tag Heuer pilot watches as they seemed overly complicated with what could be considered the entire Lord of the Rings series transcibed upon the dial.
Well its funny how tastes change ( or at least meander along ) as these purposeful pilot watches have now begun to "talk to me".

This Seiko is not a model i was aware of before this photo. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers - Darren

I was surprised that hung about on SC as long as it did. Enjoy

Do like. In particular, the yellow accents.

Sweet watch. One of the best looking pilot chronos around IMO. Enjoy!

This is a great watch, one I want myself and came very close to ordering several times. One thing that doesn't come out very clear in the photos is that it has a lightly domed crystal, which I think looks terrific. It is also 200m water resistant, which is not that common in a pilot's chronograph. The reason I ultimately didn't order was that the dial appears a bit small compared to the rest of the watch, the alarm function which I can't see the point of, and the rather useless tachymetre scale.

Now that you have it you absolutely must learn how to use the calculator bezel (it can be used for more than you believe - it is the reason why I came to want this watch in the first place)

I had a white-faced version of one of them and it was an excellent watch. Genuine screw down crowns (all three of them). The watch was accurate as well. The only reason why I never kept it was because I'm not all that keen on white faced watches.
