All very well having these stupidly long passwords with a mix of characters but it just means you have to write it down somewhere!

I would really like to know why it had to be 32 characters.

    Reminded me of:

During a company’s recent password audit, it was found that one employee was using the following password: "MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacrame nto"
When asked why they had such a long password, the person said they were told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital!

I thought ours at work were bad enough...

8 chars inc at least one capital, one special character, one number and no repeating chars

I've got about 20 different systems that all seem to cycle at different times... so a spreadsheet it is :D

Yeah, similar to ours, there are so many passwords for each system, and some are randomly generated, so you have a choice of 3 and can't pick any other choice, there is no way you can remember every one of them, people just write them down in books, stick them in their phone or whatever. The thing that annoys me is that they make you change the password every 60 days on the randomly generated ones, absolute pain to try and memorise them, and not forget them and remember old ones.

The best time to talk about passwords though is the day back after Christmas, nobody remembers them and everyone's locked out their systems
