Looks suitably hideous but I'm sure London (well Mayfair...) will be inundated with them soon enough
This is going to be on every footballers shopping list this time next week I reckon.

Shame that the likes of Bentley are following this hideous trend.
Superb!
If you want/need this type of vehicle, why be forced into buying a Citroen Picasso 8)
Not the prettiest of things but it's a model Bentley needs, will be a massive seller in the BRIC countries where roads ain't so good - Maybach no worky very well on potholes!
Unfortunately, the trend is set by the market. But if we think about this logically, this is way modern vehicles are going. The albeit limited off road capability makes the vehicle more versitile, as well as imposing a greater image on the road and a greater sense of safety etc.
Personally, if the car companies continue to make luxury SUV's with the other manufactures compensating these with the likes of the 458, MP4-12C, New Gallardo, Aventador, F12berlinetta, Pagani's, Caterham's, Toyota GT86, Porsche etc then we should consider ourselves lucky.

Looks horrible to me but I am sure it will be very good for their business.
With range Rovers appalling build quality and the other companies only making the more 'functional' 4x4s there has long been a gap in the market for a super hi-end 4x4. Its just a pity BMW didn't keep hold of Range Rover, we would have had a really good top of the range RR by now.
If the Bentley 4x4 is built to the same excellent quality as the current GT then it will be an great car, as for the looks, personally I'm not so sure but I'd like to see it in the metal before deciding if I like it or not. I'd also be interested to see if its a brand new floor-pan or on the Q7 one. I test drove the Q7 but wasn't impressed but to be fair the main reason was the ridiculously steeply raked A pillar which, looking at the pictures, the Bentley doesn't seem to have.
I believe they have form; didn't they make a one-off for the Sultan of Brunei?
Looks awful to me, no doubt it will sell like hotcakes in China/the Middle East!
Looks like it's only a concept car..
edit: Confirmed, it is only a concept car.
Need to see one thats a physical car i guess but I bet it sells well to those in that marketplace. Give me a Range Rover anyday though...
That was based on the mk2 Range Rover, he had a few made IIRC.Originally Posted by Carlton-Browne

I think the Porsche Cayenne is the brands biggest selling model in recent years.
The manufacturers produce SUV's and crossovers to fund the business and development of the 'sportier' models.
Maserati have jumped on the band wagon with the (weirdly named) Kubang!
It’s all about supply and demand.
No. Just no.
You can tell bmw owns the company, the back looks very much like an x5 to me.
bentley has formally entered 'chavdom' imo...
BMW don't own the company, I wish they did but VW do.Originally Posted by sestrel

Looks like a poor, and uglier, copy of a Range Rover, which to my eyes is by far the best-looking (and probably the best full stop) posh 4x4.
Oh dear...........
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Range Rover (full fat only!) for me any day of the week. Mine's a 2006 Supercharged, is built superbly, incredibly comfortable, great in the snow and apart from needing a replacement battery, has been completely reliable.

Judging by the looks of the Bentley, most of them probably will have 'W's in. Or possibly 'C's.Originally Posted by sestrel

In 60 years Bentley has gone from this:
to this:
Sic transit gloria mundi.
True to form then: fast trucks! :D
Not as bad as the Maserati effort
I have decided that I will hold out for a Bugatti SUV. Nothing else will do.
Info: AUDI/VAG own Bentley, and the Q7 must be one of the ugliest busses out there - often too long to enter certain multistory carparks :wink:Originally Posted by sestrel

I love the fold away cocktail cabinets in the rear quarters and the fold out seating extensions on the lower tailgate. Just the thing for polo or on the downs after Goodwood :D Pity it's only a concept car at the moment.
Edit: Thank you, that's exactly what I meant to say !!! Darn spell checkers and dyslexia :DOriginally Posted by ingenioren
It looks rotten, but it will sell in droves...
personally i am holding out for the Lamborghini MLC (might have to sell everything i own to buy it though...)

According to European motoring pages, VAG will decide whether to produce or not, based on the interest (genuine) it receives at the show.
We will see, why not, if it creates more jobs !
The Bentley looks as bad in the flesh as it does in the pictures. It also looks remarkably like a Range Rover in shape but not in detail. The Lambo 4x4 picture from Quattroruote is accurate too. Both are monstrosities!

No, no,no and again no! Just go back to the LM001 and do an 'update' if your going that route Lambo.Originally Posted by Gilly

As for the Bentley, as said truly terrible but Asia and no doubt Lil Wayne and Birdman will lap them up if they ever get produced.
