Not into my Rolex or Tudor stuff but I have to say that is really quite nice!
Hi All,
Baselworld 2012 already seems to have a winner !
Though I have not seen all the watches, I can say Omega has done a good job and Rolex has been a complete let-down.
But I think the Tudor Black Bay is the watch to beat .....

I so want to have this. Absolutely classy - only hitches the decoration on the crown and missing a date !

I agree - it does look rather nice 8)
Tudors are looking good overall.
Rolex hasn't been a total let down. The predictable ND ceramic looks epic to me mostly because of no cyclops. Much better than the Sub C
I absolutely love that. Wonder how much it'll cost.
Absolutely great watch! The only thing I don't like is the small red ring around the crown.
Yes, nice indeed - must find out how much ;)
Tudor is owned by rolex, it use some Rolex cases (oyster) but most of the movements are ETA, none are Rolex.Originally Posted by Petej2811
I'm kinda disapointed by this one, the red bezel is interesting, gilt rail dial is perfect however, what is this crown ? why did they put this red ring ?
And the worst thing is the round hour markers with the snowflake hands. It is totally inconsistent.
Quite nice but I'm undecided about the burgundy with the gilt dial. Price will be the defining factor for me.
I've never seen a Nato described as elegant before...
I really like this but can't help but think the first thing I'd do is modify to a black insert and then replace the red crown ring (even a quick once over on that with a black marker pen would help).
Wonder ifTudor will issue different coloured ones anyway - but like the accent colours on the Breilting Abyss diver,
Anyone have an idea how much it will cost. I am hoping around £2K.... If that is the case, I'm selling my PO or my Speedy.
The gilt dial and hands are gorgeous. Agree about the insert and crown, but I'll surely get over it :D
Aaargh why did it have to be red?
I do like that, lovely vintage looks and great size 8)
The only stumbling block for me might be the price.
I have never even leaned towards Tudor because of my dislike of all things Rolex but this one...mmm could be a change of heart.
Really like that. In fact, unless they do something silly with the price, I can imagine that being my second Tudor purchase. :drunken:
Not my cuppa. Trying too hard.

That really is very nice 8)
About time we had a snowflake heritage model. Love the dial.
Wish it was blue.
Count me in for one of those 8)

Where's the opposite of .
Lovely.
No just looks"tacky" and trying to hard.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
Just love it and I WANT ONE NOW
I love it and will get one if the price is within reach. Love the engraved rose on the crown.
I think it looks great (on the strap - not so keen on the bracelet for some reason). The only thing I'm not sure about are the round hour markers.
On the bracelet, it reminds me a bit of a christopher ward but overall it's very nice in my opinion. It's really weird how they describe the fabric strap as "elegant" but it does suit it well.
Nowhere near me sells tudor though so its always been a bit of an out-of-reach set of watches for me.
very nice. whats the price going to be?
I'm expecting to see it priced between £1700- £2100
Based on nothing at all.
Love it.
I've a vintage blue Tudor sub already, so red would do me just fine.
I even like the red ring around the crown and the engraving.
I'm a fan 8)
Can't see any pictures of it on the bracelet though, am I being thick? :(
Penultimate frame to the right, with watch shown on black leather strap - click on words "Steel bracelet" to see it on the bracelet. :wink:Originally Posted by mackay45

I really hope you're right. Sounds quite reasonable.Originally Posted by Plake
Nice watch but I´d rather prefer a black bezel.
I think the hands look a bit out of place with the round markers, which is a shame as the rest looks very nice
Not too bad.
As mentioned previously the hands are not a good match for the markers and the red bits are a bit of a sticking point but overall fairly pleasing.
At last tudor are beginning to realise that the only way they will get interest is to copy the designs of their old stuff and get closer to vintage Rolexes.
Personally I think that if they made a range of watches very similar to extinct vintage Rolexes a la MKII they would be on to a winner but of course I guess Rolex has sway over what they do.
Cheers,
Neil.
Gorgeous but at a rumoured £3500+ for an ETA 2824 powered watch somebody's 'Avin a larf' seeing as the Pelagos is supposed to be £700 cheaper with better WR and a ceramic bezel. Prices based on Internet hearsay not fact just to clarify. If the Black Bay came in sub £2000 I would be all over it as I think it is stunning 8)
The Black bay has a great case but the burgundy bezel is a turn off for me, the red bit on the crown is a bit silly as well. Now if Tudor could see fit to putting a black bezel on it then we'd be talking.

I'm with you there... I love the hands, dial etc.
BUT, with all the red bits n' stuff it looks like a "pretender" AKA CW.
Shame, nearly a winner.
Thanks

The Rolex forum mentions 2700E for the bracelet version and 2420E for the strap and should be available in July. The Pegalgos will be 3300E which is understandable considering the ceramic bezel, titanium case construction with He valve and higher WR.
Time to start saving/selling :))

I have seen $5,450 (£3,500) quoted.Originally Posted by Plake

Wouldn't pay more than £1000 for a watch with a 2824
Somebody on Rolex Forum quoted a price equivalent to around AUD$4,100. That's more like it.
We can all quote prices but until Tudor confirm the MSRP, it is all just speculation and opinion.
