    A question of Omega...

So I did it for the second time, flipped my SMP on and got a Breitling.

Stupid idea, and I have learnt my lesson and want my Bond back!

    It was this http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product/ome ... 0412001003

    BUT, I've just spotted this http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product/ome ... 0412003001

    and having already owned this

in the past, I really like the blue.

Which one would you go for?

Second question, will Goldsmiths take offers with finance or is it a case of having to pay the asking price?

I have the cash but at 0% there's not much point laying out all that cash if I can get the same deal with finance?

    HELP!

    :P

I can't answer your question for you but I can say that you are a plonker for selling such a lovely watch to buy a Breitling!

    Black.

For that kind of money - I'd be looking at a mint vintage Omega, or two!

Go and haggle then inform them you want to use the finance option , at worse they can say no,i thought you had to be offered the same deal however you where financing your purchase? , if you can get a reasonable reduction for pound notes it will be worth paying outright as the interest on banked money is very low atm ,

I'd go for the blue if buying @ full RRP, I think it would be more scalable if you change your mind (again) :-).

I've never got a discount and 0% finance from Goldsmiths despite trying :? I personally wouldn't pay a premium for a co axial version, they just don't do it for me.

On 0% I had to pay the asking price when I bought my Speedy so I think you're stuck with list. To join in with the others, fancy selling an SMP to get aB'ling. I kept mine and still bought a B'ling as well - can never have too many watches

Prefer the silver bezel version with sword hands - but I'd still get vintage any day

Depends which one; I'd kick that Seamaster out of bed in a heartbeat if the watch in question was a Steelfish, or even just the regular rider-tabbed Superocean TBH. But I would not trade a Seamaster for most of their new output.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

    A question of Omega...

Take consolation in the fact that if you keep the Breitling long enough for it to need a service you'll get an experience with Breitling UK that makes Omega (Swatch) look like a bunch of work experience interns have worked on your watch.

You "should" be able to get a better deal for cash than finance. It typically costs the AD 15-20% of the asking price as a fee to the finance company. They make much more money selling the watch to you for cash compared to finance. You will need to haggle.

    Re: A question of Omega...

No point in calling you a plonker again, it's already been done :)

Re. the finance, my guess is you'll either get good discount or finance.....but not both. A bit like asking for't spice an't ha'penny....an old Yorkshire saying I grew up with.

Haggle like hell, they need to sell stuff and it's tough out there in retail-land.

    Good luck,

I find Goldsmiths hard to deal with too big a chain, best to find a Independent authorized Omega dealer and talk to them I think you will get 15%-25% off

You think I should save the cash and go for the Quartz?

Rarely and a vgc is going to be from £1k up imho - I think £1k is cheap as chips for say a 2531 and you get a lot of watch.
It's just a matter of time...
