Tudor Black Bay
Zenith El Primero Pilot Chrono
You know the feeling, when you see a picture of a watch that makes you stop in your tracks and think 'I must have this!' Different from watches that you admire or simply like the look of and enjoy owning, I'm talking about the ones that have you at 'hello' and refuse to get out of your head until you've finally got your hands on one. There have been a few for me but the most recent is the Tudor Pelagos - blew me away from the moment I saw it and can't remember the last time I wanted a watch this much :drunken:
Tudor Black Bay
Zenith El Primero Pilot Chrono
Mine change fairly regularly.. But I saw a zenith elite ultra thin with a grey dial yesterday.. It was a beauty.. Understated but still managed to be the eye catcher of a full z display.
Ball Engineer Master II Diver in green for me. Saw in SC, bought from SC, seldom off my wrist.
For me it was the Seiko Alpinist (SARB063). It was for sale on a watch forum but at the time I didn't have the money for it. It didn't sell and a while later the sale topic was kicked to the top and I noticed it again, this time I did have the money and a few days later it was on my wrist
Azimuth Xtreme-1 Sea-Hum GMT
Tricky one, so I'll stick to 2012:
1. Tudor Black Bay (nice mix of nod to the past, but a unique take, plus a diver that looks great on leather), then (and I suspect slightly more controversially)
2. Omega Spacemaster Z-33 (as it would such a great pairing with my 910)
Now, must start saving and stop looking at other things!!!
Mine was in the link but is now on my wrist. :D

I was going to buy a Speedy Pro but then saw a SubLV......
Snap :) Fell in love with it the moment I saw it and bought it soon after. Was just thinking about it earlier and how much I love it :drunken:Originally Posted by unclealec

Rolex GMT II 16713.
So I bought it :)
Still trying to figure how to take a decent pic of it. :happy8:
All mine now. :tongue2:

Every watch a story.
that is a very good looking watch, i really like the depth of the subdials, and the overall slimness of the watch.

Though sadly I don't have one.
2 watches for me really one quite modest and one not so.
Benarus megalodon
Hublot big bang
Of my 25 ish watches . This one was 100% love at first sight. Had to have it.
Probably the enduring one would be the Breitling Aerospace I saw in Dubai in 1991, after that it would have to be the Omega SM300 (the one stand-out watch since joining here).
Well I'm not ashamed to say that I wee'd a little bit when I saw this picture:
But the Bullhead Omega Chronostop (top row, furthest right) hasn't left my mind since looking at it. I've only seen one come up for sale, and it was two weeks after losing my job last year. Typical.
Admittedly the Anakin (third row down, furthest left) had a very similar effect and a couple of those have come up for grabs recently. Still slowly working on Flightmaster funds, but hopefully one of those two little grails will be in my collection before I turn 40. (I turn 30 in a couple of months!) :o
I love that JLC master calendar. What colour dial face is that? Gorgeous :D
'twas a Seamaster 300 full titanium with electric blue face! Still smile when I look at it. Was originally after the GMT but the blue face caught my eye an been worn daily since.
I've had lots of watches which I've had to have but in most cases the passion wears thin after a few weeks. There's been only one exception.
Please forgive the dust:
Steinhart Marine Chronograph Special Edition. Just hits the spot for me.
Had long sold out before I'd ever seen it and only 20 on the planet.
For me it was the 2011 Explorer II - however that is a "want" at first sight for me.Originally Posted by Seb d

This one. I tried to to see one in the metal but two local Omega dealers would only let me see one if I bought it first.
Needless to say I've still never seen one.
Loving that chronoscope. white face really simple. seiko,s a beaut too!
It is as near to slate grey as you can get. Only 35 were made with that dial.Originally Posted by tim2012
Ditto on the Pelagos.
Before that these two had me at first glance,
The Chopard especially.
I had been very close to getting the regular version (black/orange) a couple of times when I stumbled upon this ltd ed whilst visiting Singapore and from the moment I saw it I knew that it was coming back home with me. :)
Take your pic... :)
They've all been love at first sight... But if pressed I would say it was probably the Ingenieur that grabbed me by the heart and gave the biggest squeeze.

Seiko SBDX001 Marinemaster 300. It was love at first sight, and every time I see it the loves grows stronger.
Rolex sub, 5513. Loved it and bought it!
Never photographed it properly, but the GS GMT really bowled me over at first sight.
Saw it a GTG and the owner eventually relented and kindly sold it to me

These two were surprise attractions, very much took me off on a new track. Still trying to get my head around the 35mm Polerouter on my big wrists but haven't (as yet) found anything bigger i like more. The Rolex took me completely by surprise as not normally my kind of thing at all.
I always fancied the Max Bill chronos, especially the black one. What has been putting me off getting it was the absolutely non existence of any water resistance. I’ve had 'breathers' before and they are a bugger. 'Breathers' are watches whose internal air-pressure is constantly adjusting to the external. The worst enemy is 'fluff', if you are wearing the watch in bed, or just keeping your hand in a pocket.Originally Posted by dowsing
Anyway, the Meister has rudimentary 30m WR which means I don't have to worry every time I wash my hands or whether it might be raining.
If I am happy with the Meister, I might still get the black Max Bill tho.

Every watch a story.
Omega Planet Ocean..Just a superb classy watch!
Photo shamelessly taken from the net. Big I want!
IWC Big Pilot, we first met at Schipol duty free and saw each other a couple of times a month for a year.
I've tried the love at sight thing a couple of time with watches.
My drug of choice is vintage Heuer so when i first spotted the Siffert model Autavia :love4:
It took me a year or 2 to locate this one which still has a crisp, bright dial. Here's my precious Cal.11 Siffert Autavia
Cheers - Darren
Yellow faced Breitling emergency. Saw it on my managers wrist about 11 years ago, lusted after one ever since. Last year, found one. And it's sat on my wrist right now. And I still smile looking at it as it's mine, alllll mine.
Blue faced Navitimer on a bracelet for me :drunken:
This one 25 years ago! I had a couple but the one below is a keeper. 145.022, hesalithe crystal with Sphire see through caseback, cal 863 and 1450 bracelet....The perfect everyday Speedy this side of the cal 321 from the 60's...
