Thanks... but I should know really, as I was responsible for the paintwork designs on the original Liberators!

As long as you can walk and are over 5ft8 it's not to late
There are enough nice laverda's out there and it's a great and helpful community ( almost WIS's) with some very respectable specialists....

And a properly set up 3C is almost as nice a ride as a Jota.... the 120degr. (RGS, SFC1K) are somewhat more 'civilised' but stil a proper man's bike.

    Re: What do you drive?

I drive an Alfa Romeo GT JTDm Blackline (sorry no pics).

I've had it for nearly 3 years and really love it. Before I bought it I was looking at BMW Z4 3.0 V6, but a new role at work meaning more mileage, a gf (now wife) with 3 kids (now 4!) forced me to look for something a little more practical. So with practicality and reliability in mind I chose an Alfa :)

In fairness it is a very practical car - I can get 3 kids in the back and the back seats will drop allowing quite a payload. Being a 1.9 diesel, the MPG has been pretty good too + it's cheap to tax and insure. In terms of reliability (he writes touching everything wooden in the vicinity) its been pretty good too, with only some common, minor probs to deal with (all sorted under warranty).
Performance is not bad as well. I quickly had the car re-mapped drastically increasing the torque and upping the BHP to just over 200. This was the best bang-for-buck modification I've ever done to a car (even taking into account the innevitable need for a new clutch at some point :)).

But the main reason I really like it is because it's an Alfa and it looks great, inside and out. Everyone comments on it and I still find myself looking over my shoulder in the car park. It might not be the most modern sports car / GT, but it does have soul :thumbleft:

I'd only ever planned to keep it for 3 years, but I honestly have no desire to get rid of it at the moment so will probably keep it for another couple of years. Thinking about my next car; I'd like a coupe that has good space in the back. I don't really fancy an Audi, and am thinking along the lines of a newer BMW 3 series convertible. There's no rush though with my GT in the drive

VW Passat CC, would like something more sporty but for the mileage I do it's perfect, I looked at BMW 3 Series and Audii but the CC is a great looking car and drives well.

I remember the ILOC magazine, think it was La Vera Vista or something like that as being one of the best one make club mags about.

2L TDI Seat Leon as daily commuter
1998 Volvo V70 T5 as weekend blaster and family weekend away workhorse, now up for sale  as i've had to upgrade the wife from a fabia to a zafira with baby no2 on the way, making the T5 redundant as the weekend away motor.

Look at those rims, well dont actually. They are on a hard shoulder somewhere in the UK. But the wheels are made out of some kind of steel, Blackened by a special process.
