    Big hands on small Seiko

I've got small wrists, so I prefer the smaller divers, like this SKX013. But in my opinion those standard hands are just plain ugly :?

Here it is with the original hands

Although they fit within the size of the case, for some reason, they don't seem to fit with the esthetics of the dial and case (colour is a bit off, the shape of the second hand is a bit off compared to the style of the 007/009 family

So I've put in the hands of the big brother

And although it seems as if the second hand is disappearing under the bezel, it matches up to the edge of the chapterring nicely

Opinions please, is it an improvement yes/no?

I think I rather like the way the minute and second hands seem to skirt the perimeter of the dial, not a bad effect.

The old hour hand always did seem a touch stubby to me, so that works alright imo.

Much better with the larger hands, the smaller original ones look a little lost in comparison.

    First of all thanks guys!

Yesterday evening I proudly showed it to my wife, "look honey, what do you think". Her reply was "what's the difference?"

Anyway, I agree, somehow these new hands fill out the dial more, so I will keep it this way :D

Next project.... not sure, but something sublike again I think :)

i make it my mission to find a diver with hands reaching as far out towards the chapter ring as possible.
imho this is a huge improvement.

I see your point exactly

For some reason most watches seem to have shorter hands nowadays. I'd say, there's a minute ring.... use it!

Like you Marco I am lacking in the wrist department and am still trying to find a SKX013 (or preferably a 011) beater to see if it 'fits'. Your mod will be the first thing I do to it if I decide it's a keeper. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Small wrists, big hands, there's a joke there somewhere.

:D I like that, they look big but not to big and I like seconds hands that are as long as possible, no SHS on that.

Great mod, hands suit much better. The second hand is an acquired taste which I can agree with so well done.
