Seen a few of those on some of my courses, the chinese grenade one was actually a malfunctioning grenade, the chinese range safety guy was pretty good in stopping it ending in tragedy!

The running theme with a lot of them is that what they were trying to do wasn't actually possible, or what they were trying only had one outcome possible, yet they still go ahead, and you then get the gasps from the group of people as people like Newton are proven correct over and over again.
