    Portable speakers

    Hi,
    my freind wants to get a good portable speaker for 50 quid or under. can anyone reccomend me one? :)

    It's more than he wants to spend, but the Jawbone Jambox is terrific.

    I can vouch for the XMI Mini-2 it's only £15 but not bad for casual audio from an iPod, iPad, laptop etc. Been using one for over 18 months without problem. Probably better for audiobooks and podcasts as you tend to get distortion at high volumes with bass heavy music. It's the size and weight of a tangerine, the battery lasts +10 hours and recharges from USB.

    Logitech s715i. Unbeatable at about £83 at PC World/Currys on offer.

    Check out the reviews....I've just bought a set and using them while away...I'd definitely recommend.

    That's what I use, works great for me.
