    Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

Met up with a guy today who was wearing one of these:

    http://www.rolex.com/en/rolex-watches/s ... 610lv-0002

I love my no date sub in black but that dial is a thing of real beauty.

I now want one REAL bad!

Supposedly looks better in the flesh than in the pictures. I prefer the old LV , nicer colour bezel and black/green combo.

Yes, completely agree. The pictures really don't do it justice. From a photo I would dismiss it.

A chap at work has one, and yes, they are definitely better in the flesh. It is stunning!

But at 6k plus that's too close to Red Sub money for me, which is where my hard earned would be going.

It's a real chameleon of a watch - mine was in the safe for the last 7 months and it's back on the wrist this week :D

    For your viewing pleasure:

    Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

I tend to get mine out the safe. Wear it for half a day then it goes back in for a couple of weeks. Lovely watch, just a bit plain for me:(

It's also a lot more versatile in colour terms than you would think:

There's some real colour clashes there! And that's coming from someone who is not the most colour coordinated.

Green or orange watches are a no-no for me. The current LV looks worse than the original IMO........not a watch I`d lust after. I just don`t get it.

I think the green sunburst dial is nicer on the ceramic but the green bezel is a nicer/less dull colour on the black dial.

    Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

Has anyone attempted wearing it on anything besides its bracelet...?

Re: Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

I agree that the Subc LV is probably the best looking current model Rolex. It definitely is a watch that looks better when lit dynamically, so looks very different in photos to real life - it really is a chameleon, which makes it more interesting than the black dial IMO. I very nearly went for it last year, but had other fish to fry at the time. (Plus it doen't help that they keep putting the prices up  ).

Re: Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

I wanted one of these for quite a while. Decided to finally buy one last week before they get any dearer. Totally love it, and the fact that it's not a very common watch makes it better for me. They do need to be seen in the flesh as the colour is hard to describe, and it changes so much with different light.
    Well chuffed

Re: Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

I bought one for Xmas. I love it. The dial does change colour and that makes it so different. I was thinking about getting a 16610lv, probably after being brainwashed on this site, but went for the subc lv and have no regrets. The improvements on the bracelet make thd watch so comfortable that it'd hard to go back to old models.

Re: Rolex Sub 116610LV Green Dial

I will get one some time soon :) fancy it much better than the black dial with the green bezel.

Who said the price is 6k?

simple search on the watchfinder for example reveals 5660£, which means the watch can be found cheaper than their prices.

I bought one when they first came out and never really warmed to it, i ended up selling it a month later.

I have the previous model LV, but this is something really special! I love the green because it stands out (the poser in me!)

Having old LV in collection, these are definetely in my wishlist, but since RLX incesed prices again I need to wait a bit longer...

Robinsons in Manchester have one which I tried on but it was just alittle too loud. Ended up buying White faced 40mm Explorer.
