IS THIS THE MOST DESIRABLE SPORTS ROLEX THERE IS ?

I have decided that the watch featured below is number 1 on my wish list of sports Rolex-
Only 150 made- you're not likely to see anyone wearing one at the local Wetherspoons....
Can any Rolex experts out there list a more desirable model ?

    ;)

It's lovely - but not for that much cash.

    I'd prefer a 16600 :)

What about one of these ???

Not sure about desirable but they are a bit rare

In 2008, the diving corps of the Italian State Police, the Polizia di Stato Sommozzatori, celebrated their fiftieth year, having been founded in 1958. Most unusually, the Rolex Watch Company agreed to produce a limited series of watches to commemorate the event.

Of the only 78 pieces that were made, a subset of merely 28 pieces carry an additional inscription bearing the certification number of the diver to whom it was issued. This “Brevet” number relates uniquely to the diver, who was supplied the watch in 2008.

This model recently appeared for sale at Christie’s Geneva (10 May 2010), the first time one has been offered at auction. The price, including buyer’s premium, was SFR 87,000 (roughly £53,000). It is interesting to note that this watch was not one of the twenty-eight individually-numbered models.

I'm sure they are all very rare and valuable. I still prefer a normal one though, maybe I'll get more excited about a bit of writing on it as I get older.

I doubt Cameron will ever find himself in a financial position where he needs to flog the Deepsea Special
because of an incoming watch ......

I like that and they weren't too expensive at first - now just crazy.

I still like the standard 16600, I'd love a few of the rarer models of it -but I'm happy enough :)
