    Tritium tubed watches

I am being drawn towards the light again.
If I am correct, most of the watches with tritium tubes come from the same manufacturer and, consequently, have very similar generic design and parts (like my PVDed Luminox). The exceptions I know of include the Ball watches and the Marathon TSAR.
For me, the TSAR appears to be the king of the tubed watches because of the looks and specs. What would you gentlemen pick from the crop?

I've owned both plastic and stainless Trasers, as well as the TSAR and GSAR. I'm left with this stainless P-6502 which is my Sub's travel backup and sleep watch.

The SAR case seems a bit much for a quartz movement; and there are numerous reports of the movement shifting while being set. The metal traser seems everybit as well constructed, is slimmer and more comfy than the TSAR.

If you want an automatic, then the GSAR is definitely the way to go, but for a quartz, I would stick with the various mb.microtek versions.

Stop messing about and get a GSAR.

I usually wear my watches for a couple of days then get bored. The GSAR seems to hang aroung for a couple of weeks each time.

    You won't regret it.

Frankenwatching and customising! Do you guys DIY or commission someone to do it?
I quite like the idea of tritium tubes in a Tuna Can or a PAM :love4:

Deano works on the watches himself, I believe ... I can only manage projects (planning, tenacity, optimism, pleading, bullying and such  ) and commission the work to be done in various places.
    Cheers,

Ken Sato/RXW have put tubes in their new Panerai 'Daylight' chronograph clone. Looks very nice, but first production run is sold out, so can only be bought new.

I want one of these, just can't seem to find one......... yet.

    Good hunting :D

15 years on it is now so dull as to be next to useless for reading at night.

    But don't worry.......

most of you guys will never keep a watch that long anyway
