Thanks for the link. Still not sure. The hour plots look plastic!
For those that are interested, some good (IMHO) pics here:

3360€ MRSP.
Pelagos is Greek for sea.
That is all.
Thanks for the link. Still not sure. The hour plots look plastic!
"A man of little significance"
The Pelagos is a fine looking watch. Love the snowflake hand and especially the clasp.
I think it looks really good, and I am eager to see one in the metal.
Lots of nice details like the clasp

Great pics of a fine looking watch. Thanks for posting.
Wow, clasp looks almost steampunk in design!
Bracelet and clasp are fantastic - move over Rolex!
I went off the idea of one of these when I saw someone selling one for £3200 on eBay. However, at the current equivalent of £2600 or so, there's surely no better dive watch?
It looks extremely well made with a huge amount of attention to detail with the clasp. It's chunky but not massively so. Can't wait to see one in the flesh!
Im not sure to be honest. I just googled "Tudor pelagos" one day and it took me to the auction. Until today, I didn't know the official RRP but that's lower than I expected.
Such a shame we don't get Tudor here in the uk... With a discount it seems a very competitive price for several years ago, nevermind 2012
According to a bleurk on the French forum, the latest Tudor catalogue has the list price for France as 3260 euros, i.e. approximately 2550 pounds in coin of the realm.
It was just quoted in a thread, perhaps a typo'? He said he had the latest catalogue with 10 pages dedicated to the Pelagos, but when I went in a Tudor AD last week they only had the old, pre-Pelagos pre-Black Bay, catalogues in stock.
Nice guy at the Pisa AD I tried the Pelagos at gave me this cool thing from Baselworld. Mini movie of the Pelagos
The more I see of it the more fantastic I think the design is - the hour plots do indeed look a little plastic, but that is why they match the hands so well. Not normally a fan of black on white date windows on a black dialled watch but again here the design works as well as can be as the date window balances the size of the 9 marker. All in all it looks like an exceptionally well thought through diving tool design (not that many will be used for that of course). Clear, functional and coherent as well as distinctive and fairly reasonably priced, especially if the exchange rate continues to move in the right direction.
It's forkin ace!
Is it out yet?
Rolex Dealer told me recently that Tudor may return to the UK in 2015. On the basis of the Pelagos & Black Bay the sooner the better.
Great shots and usefull info.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
The one I tried on in Italy had been sold and that was early June
Yesterday I popped into the local Tudor AD and they had the Pelagos in stock (€3250)
I found it to be very light and the bracelet felt a bit flimsy..furthermore I though the snowflake was to big compared to the dial.
All in all I wasn't very impressed with it. I quickly snapped a picture next to my Heritage Chrono.
The only other watch I have with me for direct comparison is an EXPII (42mm).
Bezel action is similar to the ceramic Rolex bezel but slightly less refined if that makes sense. Louder but still very smooth positive. Better than the omega ceramic action.
Lume is the same as the new rollers except the bezel numerals are lumed.
Height. Best description is about half way between SD and SDDS.
Dial, hands, brushed finish, look great. weight lighter than the EXPII but don't quote me on that! Clasp is very clever. All in, sounds crazy, but a total bargain IMHO :-)
Thanks for all the info and extra shots. Will have to check it out when it is released here in France as there is something about it that I really like!
The more I see that, the more I like it.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
I like this watch.
The clasp seems nice but it is too 'complicated'. There are too much things to go wrong in there for my liking.
very nice....it is a shame they are not readily available in the UK
Looks quite nice but have a couple of features that makes you want to c it live before making up the mind.
Springy mode feels the same as micro adjusted, I presume you need some serious temperature variation to get the 'auto asjust' working other than diving in a dry suit. There is no tension on the springs unless it's in 'springy' mode.
A few folk seem to think it looks crass or unfinished bit it is actually quote a nice addition. Think new Rolex clasps. Long plain metal. The pelagos keeps the underside interesting.
That LIVE picture of Pelagos looks great. One of the nicest watches in Basel this year!
And the clasp is a work of art
