Nope you'll never make it  . Nice watch not sure if those hands work for me though.
Really happy with this new Glycine Combat Sub Auto that chris2982 was able to get me at a good price.
For me this typifies all that I am looking for in a watch these days.
Namely
1. A good size - this is 42mm so is easly big enough without going stupidly large.
2. A good solid Swiss automatic movement.(ETA 2824-2)
3. A black dial with a black date wheel (without a frame to the date window). This is a personal thing, but I really like black on black these days.
4. A practical thickness at 10.6mm means it easily fits under a cuff.
5. Lovely clear dial with easily read hands and great lume.
6. Sapphire of course.
7. Nice bezel that is not too thick - actually in person it is thinner than it appears in the photo.
8. Excellent quality bracelet that has a fold-over clasp and press-release.
Maybe a little early to say for sure, but I can't think of any other watch that I want.
Now rationalising my collection, which is certainly too large, and I think the following will be going in the short to medium term.
Oris Classic XXL, Oris BC3+, SB3, Halios Bluering, Raymond Weil Freelancer.
This will leave me with the above, a Sinn u1, Damasko DA36, Kemmner Turtle, Fortis B42, Seiko Boss kinetic and two identical (!) solar atomic G-shocks. Already too many.
I will be avoiding SC, unless to sell.
OK, great intentions - will I make it?
Cheers,
Ian.

Really nice 8) , you have good intentions and a plan but will see how long you last off SC
Always liked the Glycine Combats - they're very well designed.
Setting good intetntions is the easy bit - sticking to them is a lot trickier!
regards,
Nick
Is there a reason for 24 hour numbers on the dial. I can't see anything to inidicate 24 hour timing?
It's a very nice watch but it would be even nicer looking without those numbers.
Really nice watch. Congratulations.
That's a lovely watch. The face looks great with the contrasting colours, it makes it interesting and legible.
Not sure how this old thread came back to life, but interesting to see what's changed in the meantime.
I still own this Glycine, although I was thinking about moving it on maybe.
Still really like the classy dial, low profile case and excellent bracelet.
Of the other watches listed, around half have gone and been replaced by others.
On reflection, maybe I was a little premature to say "I'm done", back then.
Feel like I now have all the watches I want and still have around 12-15, so maybe a bit of a cull coming.
Cheers,
Ian.
I have a combat sub.
Wear it every day. Don't think I'll ever feel the need to replace it. Don't even look at divers any more.
Only slight letdown is the lume. It's bright enough, but doesn't last long. Then again, my last watch was a Seiko, and it seems not much compares to them.
