Yup mine is a tornado F3, limited run. It was delivered to a group of us in saudi on operation southern watch.
Good to hear. Thanks. Still wear it?
Yep, though needs a new battery again.
Well, the details aren't for a public forum but you'll recall a war against Iraq about 20 years ago :wink:Originally Posted by Jimmcb

I have these 2 DPW's with similar movements as your pulsar (y652) and same case/movement/hands as the Breitling New Pluton/3100/Intruder and the Chronosport UDT II range. Again probably not issued.
Those were made by personalized by DPW, as they still had an agreement with Breitling at the time. It's an interesting "unit pride" watch (DPW made several series over the years for the 6° Stormo Caccia "Diavoli Rossi), but it's certainly not an officially issued watch.
This Breitling Navitimer 2100 "Pluton" on the other hand has true, though very short-lived, military credentials:
It was part of a small batch of watches sent by Breitling to the French Air Force for evaluation in the very early 80s, alongside a similar model from Yema using the same Swiss-made ESA Y2 900231 quartz module. Sadly, it proved so fragile that the watches from both brands were ultimately rejected, with the French Air Force finally deciding to purchase ana-digi quartz chronographs made by Pulsar. It is shortly after this debacle that Breitling switched to using Japanese-made quartz modules for a while, an episode the brand would rather sweep under the rug nowadays...
I don't have it but this is claimed to be military.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
