    Cheers 'gerbil.

    Wow Stewart!
The first one was too subtle for me at first, maybe I was distracted by the strap? Both great shots.

I was glued to the TV as Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon on July 21, 1969. It was a fantastic achievement 43 years ago!

No more Speedies in my collection at present, but here's my late 1968 GMT-Master with aviation heritage. Cheers, Neil!

Not a moon watch, but a watch that Chuck Maddox (maybe the internet's leading authority on all things Speedmaster) called "the Grail"...

Motorbike trip this weekend, off in the morning. The pic is from June, but the scene will be the same.

What a strange coincidence! You've referenced a paper from a suburb of Chicago I used to live in.

Some debate as to whether a 105.003 got anywhere near the moon, but hey ho, here's my latest baby...

Wouldn't want to be sitting on the fence about buying a Speedy at tthe moment as this thread will likely tip a few over the edge!

    They wore Pre-Moon Speedies; surely...

    Good morning,

I wear this today in remembrance of a friendly and intelligent man. The first on the moon but his watch stayed behind in the spacecraft as a back-up for a malfunctioning piece of equipment. If I'm not mistaken?
    Here is my PSM..

    Have a good weekend!

Off walking in the Brecon Beacons Nation Park today in search of the crash site of a Vickers Wellington Bomber which went down in 1944. There're are some moving pictures and description which can be seen here for anyone interested:
