My new Seiko Spirit with a cool retro graded blue dial.

It is reminiscent of Seiko dials from the 60's and 70's. It has a cool retro feel to the dial. The blue changes shades depending upon the play of the light.

The case is nicely brushed with some polished areas. It is extremely well done. It has a nice fit and finish and feel to it. The oyster style bracelet is awesome. It has solid end links and very comfortable to wear. I like the clasp on it.

    Enjoy

An okay profile shot. This watch is not thin, but not overly thick.

A push style claps that clicks securely into place.

I like the 38mm size. Very comfortable to wear. Most of all I bought for the cool faded/graded retro dial.

Very nice, and different from most current dials. I am warming up to more colorful dials. I have an earlier black version, and the watch itself is a quality product. They have released some green and brown sunburst retro dial variants, but I don't think I am ready for that yet

    Cheers,
    Gert

That is why I choose the blue because it really stood out to me. I have wanted a really cool blue dialed watch and I found it in this high quality watch.

    Very nice Todd. :)

I prefer the script of "automatic" on yours to the other variety.

The different font for "Diashock 23 jewels " does rankle with me and if they did away with the display back....

    I'd buy one then.

    Great VFM watches.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Congratulations

Very nice choice. I was tempted by the bright color dials for the Spirit line but decided on a little more subdued version myself. I'm enjoying mine and hope that you are yours as well. 8)

    Bracelet

    Todd,

Thanks. I recall you posting that you had to size your bracelet. What was the maximum size if you happen to know? Strangely, my past 7s series purchases have always fit me with the stock bracelet or strap. The one on my Spirit was unusually short (shorter than standard 190+-mm) and so am interested to hear of the bracelets on the 6R line are also shorter than typical in Seikos.

Whilst I find the idea of coloured dials attractive, I think that in the long run, the classic black with silver indices would probably get my money. Boring I know, but I am less likely to grow tired of it as time goes by. It is a classic combination for a very good reason.
