Wow, there is clearly lots of great tastes out there. I mainly don't do 'classy' but have 'tacky' pieces but this is the only one I have that remotely would be considered suitable for this thread, me thinks!

This arrived a few weeks ago and I'm over the moon with it. Currently on a black croc-grain which looks even better than this :

I've been wearing this one all week. It was a badly 'photographed, poorly described on-line auction purchase, sold as "overwound". Well. it cleaned up a treat and started running while I was polishing it!

    Shabby chic rather than classy.

I have all sports watches, but the one which is less sports watch than the others is my pasha. That is my classy watch.

so having never been one for a dress watch i go with something nice and tacky ( just like me )

    Face for radio...

but I also get to dress for radio! It means I don't get dressed up too often, but when I do, THIS:

is what I wear with a suit.

    Toby

PS it's worth mentioning there are some simply stunning watches on here. WOW.

Fantastic - and so far as I know unique.

I was looking for a Futurematic a few weeks ago, but the only nice ones I could find had refinished dials and hefty price tags. Your photo reminded me to keep my eyes peeled (thank you).

Thanks very much, it is indeed a unique piece with no visual and traditional winder on the side, probably why it was named with a 'futuristic' vision back in the 50's.

It did go back to JLC 12 years back for a refurb - and, only now I've started to wear it. The dial is smaller than what I have been used to, but it's very subtle for office wear :)

I am really not a fan of dress watches - but there are some absolute corkers on here - not to mention some excellent photo's. Great thread choice by the OP.

    Cheers!

    Cool

The bracelet especially is very slick and well made too. Feels very slinky and classy all over imo
