I can't hear the River Plate without thinking of the Graf Spee. Is that just me?

Watching and recording it on both the Humax box and my computer. I first saw them at Donnington 1981 just after Bon Scott died and post O'Levels for me - incredible night especially as Blue Oyster Cult were earlier booed off stage!

Me too. The Youngs are looking a bit older now.

And, Iron Maiden are on next.

Remember it well, Whitesnake's "Aint No Love" brought goose bumps when everyone sang. I went to see Blackfoot but,,,
    Slade stole the show,,
PS I never got hit by a bottle full of Pi*h

Slade did indeed steal the show. I think they were the first band that came on stage, on what I recall was a fairly miserable afternoon (rain), that got the crowd going - and how! Blackfoot; now that you mention them I do remember them - vaguely.

I saw this and it is the first time I had seen them or knowingly listened to a piece of their music.

I was impressed by the lead singer - Johnson is it ? His voice is definitely alto statico and Young the lead guitar was also superb.

Those two carried it for me.

What is there best album ?? anyone ?

    B

Brian, I would suggest you start with "Back in Black". You can't go wrong with that.

    Cool Amazing

What really impressed me was all those argentinians sing

    Dirty deeds done dirt cheap,

Wonder if they know what it means?

I watched it last night, half cut in a hotel room in London

The thing that amazed me was the size of the crowd.
