    Tudor Hydronaut

Iv'e just bought an Omega Speedy 4.5 of my mate and he showed me this...http://www.chrono24.com/en/tudor/hyd...acturerIds=245

Possibly for £750 guy's but I have no idea what they are like if any good etc etc etc,it's watch on a rubber deployment box but no papers. So good price or bloody outrageous?.Oh and it appears to be the carbon fibre dial.

    Buy it.
Took me ages to find a carbon fibre dial Hydronaut a few years back (still have it)........not a very common watch at all.
The case design and finish, esp the crown guards are wonderful.
Pics when you buy it please! :)

if you're in any doubt.... go for it, at 750 it should be an easy flip if you don't like it & when you see the price of older tudor subs & corresponding aged subs, you see the hydronaut is a bargain...

£750 sounds OK for a Hydronaut on a non-metal bracelet and without box & papers

    They're great watches!

    Good price, with one proviso.
Is it the 41mm version, or the smaller one?
If it is the smaller one, it can be regarded as being a reasonable price, but not a great one.

    Do it!

These are getting more and more expensive, if you can find a good example.
Just look on E-bay or chrono24.
I wish I had bought a nice example a few years ago, the case is a much nicer and cleaner looking than the new Rolex and Tudor ones, and I love the crownguard.

Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Good value I think, you won't find one cheaper. Excellent quality from Tudor, built like a tank. Yes I agree, the crown guard is a work of art. Even nice on a Toshi ...

Good little watches, but as has been stated, check what the size is.

Plus, there is a snob factor involved in owning a Tudor. The ignorant still think of them as a poor man's Rolex. If that sort of thing bothers you.

While the original Hydronaut was offered in three sizes (39, 35 & 26mm) AFAIK the carbon fibre dial was only an option on the full size version? - it was offered in both steel (89190P) and steel/gold (89193P).
I may well be misinformed but I've never come across a mid or ladies size Hydronaut with a carbon dial.
Way back in the early/mid noughties the difference in cost on a s/steel version between a plain normal dial and a CF one was £80 - it was cheaper to buy a Hydronaut with a plain dial on the 93550 bracelet than the carbon dial one on rubber.
