Hmmm - I can't see the point (or attraction) of wearing two watches at the same time (no pun).
Don't get me wrong, I like my watches as much as the next man and if that's what floats your boat, then go for it.........but it's a big no no from me.

My advice is if you want to know the time in two different places buy a GMT!!! Otherwise you risk looking like a pimp!! lol

If you are going to wear two. Why not 4? One for each limb? You can tell them time no matter why position you are in!

I wear 2 watches when on the motorbike. My normal watch on my wrist and one on the outside of my motorbike jacket which is on an extra long Apollo replica velcro strap.

i was at an antiques fair sometime back, when this geezer approached a seller and said in what he thought was a posh accent, and said, pulling back his left sleeve, what do you think of my nine carat omega, then pulling up his right sleeve saying what do you think of my nine carat vertex, the dealer only smiled and shook his head.

I took a pic of an actual member of the public once. Standing outside the doctors waiting for it to open.
hold on a sec and I'll try and find the pic.......

Why not Tim i say whatever floats your boat, i met a fellow member for a trade the other week and he had 2 on, but i think one was on trial in fairness! Two Watch Friday go for it!

Only once, when the wife was in labour, I had the GMTII on my arm and I would set the bezel to time the intervals between the contractions. Then I strapped the Monaco onto the other wrist to time how long they lasted.

Felt a bit weird for about the first 5 mins, but then just normal.

Only problem is, in all the photos of me cradling the new baby I have two watches on!

Not that I mind of course, I've never really cared that much about what other people think of me, and as someone has already pointed out, people do much weirder things than wearing 2 watches!!!

I've done it a few times just because I couldn't decide what to wear, usually end up stuffing one in my pocket.

Anyone reading this/ posting on this forum is strange already.

Good man just think, if someone asked you " do you have the time on ya cock" you may well be able to say " yes I have" but prefer it if you checked the one on my wrist lol.

How about one on your wrist and one around the ankle? Less conspicuous and much more interesting.

Its a long standing tradition, this one.

Here is a shot of my favourite exponent:

I notice that over time Fidel has traded in the double Rolex look for the G-Shock and Casio look. Much more contemporary... maybe he's a WIS... ;-)

Have done it for years, and its definately stylish and will be the next great thing in watches. In a few years you all will follow us "twotimers" and you will discuss good matches and such. There will be a sub forum dedicated for this on all wathc fora, including this.

  28. #78
I think its a bit odd to wear two myself, but each to their own.

I decided to wear two whilst at home today, and it did feel very weird. I was already wearing my Speedy so put my 5513 on my right wrist; the funny thing was it looked completely different (or seemed to) to when I wear it on my left wrist.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be doing that again for a while

Much like wearing ladies underwear, it should only be done in private, behind closed doors.

I tried it once and a weird thing is that my right wrist is actually bigger than my left. And no, not for the reason you lot think

Way back in 1989 or 1990, I remember wearing two watches on one occasion. On the left wrist was my Swatch, which I *never* took off cos i didn't want to reduce the life expectancy of the strap through putting it on and taking it off. On my right wrist was a Seiko Series 5 with NO water resistance, just back from repair.
Anyway, on this day, my sister-in-law asked me why I was wearing two watches, and I replied (holding my Swatch in the air) "Oh, this one's waterproof". And with that I left the room, with looks of confusion on all those in the room.

I still wear two occasionally, mainly when I can't decide which to wear, or if I'm doing an accuracy test (i.e. crown up vs crown down, etc). Nobody has EVER noticed at work though ... although I do tend to wear long-sleeved shirts.

General Schwarzkopf used to wear two watches during desert storm. One set to local time and one to US time.
